Unfortunately the Botox dog Wrangler will still own the team.

i have a hard time believing this part. i get why it feels that way, but you have to do what's best for your team in the end. that's why i REALLY want to know what we offered. we probably won't know, but i feel like we could have beaten it. my guess now is that we didn't try. why? jsm's post has some ideas.

yeah, still think it's a laker more than a rob tax. especially with NO (if it were indy, it's a rob tax).

looking forward to hearing the FA ideas.

i can't put a lot of stock in the two-ways in terms of team-building.

feel like vando's more valuable to us than others--especially if dlo opts in. his deal is long-term. teams won't want to swallow that, imo.

Vando’s a keeper for now. We aren’t going to replace all of these guys with good two way players in one summer- this takes time.

Feel the same about Klutch here as I do the front office.

Just real hard to believe they wouldn’t have gotten Murray here if that’s what everyone wanted.

Austin started that way. I know he's the exception to the rule. But to me even if they don't factor in to the regular roster it shows organizational priorities since we're leaning heavily into development, culture, and program. I think those decisions are more important than they were during prior ways of front office thinking.

Probably but most of our salary fillers have some kind of warts. The omission in the list of "young pieces" and at the presser did strike me as something to watch though. Now to be fair, Rui came up at the presser because it was asked by a Japanese reporter. They went into a lot of detail on that answer though and our new head of media training/Head Coach is aware enough to know to balance that if he wanted.

I definitely agree that you should do what’s best for your team regardless. But I think teams play hardball with us sometimes and end up with much lesser deals.

Man, I wouldn't trade my ages 10-14 years with Stone Cold, Undertaker, The Rock for anything. It was so ridiculous in retrospect, but when you're simple minded it was the best stuff ever. Amazing athletes at the end of the day, too.

How can Dallas offer Klay anything other than the MLE? If that’s really Klay’s market right now, I really hope the Lakers do the same thing…

Big man please! We could flip Rui and something for one, and keep Tinkerbell until the trade deadline.

Even when I stopped watching I'd still check in to see how 'Taker faired at WM. Old habits...

Anyways, Klay to Dallas? I like it for them. He's gonna have a chip on his shoulder. If he washed by Klay standards he's still a huge chess piece. He can shoot his team to a win on any given night, especially with a team that has Kyrie and Luka.

i'll tell it: i like djj and josh green in dallas more than i'd like klay thompson. they got to the finals by surrounding luka and kyrie with defenders. going away from that strategy is a bad idea, imo.

on the heels of nailing the thj dump, this would be unwelcome news for mavs fans.

Man..Klay is just waiting on Tinkerbell to opt out, so he can get our full MLE.

AD gets a big, and JJ gets an All time great shooter. Lebron got his son, Jeanie saved some change, while stacking up PR points. Everyone is happy.

Some reports have Valenucius as a vet minimum or mini MLE type of signing. If he was our latest vet min steal, we'd be cooking with fish grease! Flipped the roster on a budget, and kept our draft picks.
