The Knicks are on the ropes. I don't care who wins the Championship. I hope it's over in 4 either way. So we can hurry up and officially get to the offseason.

That was 5 years ago though. Obviously at 5 years younger, Lebron and AD were better at the 3 and 4 respectively in 2019-2020 than they were in 2024-2025. Also, not taking anything away from the chip, but it was a shortened season, in a bubble, so they were able to make the stars align that way i terms of staying healthy and out of too much trouble off the court. But even without that last point that I made, the fact that it was 5 years ago should be sufficient evidence to suggest that their bodies were more equipped to play down a position than from what they are now. AD was too much of a primidone and mucked up the offense with inefficient shots. I was down to trade AD for LaVine and Kessler, and I think that was probably plan B for the Lakers. At least Kessler stays in his lane and just scores close to the basket, while still providing comparable defense and rebounding.

    LoL
Thomas Bryant made 3-3 from 3 points ,but for Lakers he wasn't good enough, instead they signed Koloko and Trey
And Bryant who is champion in Denver will be playing in his second finals

5.7 M sounds low for him. He might be a guy that Lebron deems worthy of taking less money for though, who knows? We have plenty of trade chips to get a big that way, so we should be good there.

Anthony Davis isn't old, he wasn't getting the same looks that he was getting in New Orleans, when he was All NBA, as a 4. It was a self inflicted wound. We didn't have to change anything, it's curious still, as to why you go away from what actually worked. The Lakers had the best record in the League before Covid hit. We were the 1st overall seed. Obviously AD and two 5's worked just fine.

Kessler can't hold AD's jockstrap. Again it's not about a position per se, it's about the talent of the player. Davis is a unique talent, he doesn't need to be pigeoned holed into a position. Again Lebron would have been just fine at 3. I bet you Rob is going to break his neck, in order to give Luka whatever he wants. Two bigs, another guard, whatever he asks for, and JJ is going to have to work it out, regardless of whether he prefers to play that way or not.

He isn’t good enough, he can’t defend his shadow, he was a layup line, he gave up 2 or 3 times what he put up. Anyway, there’s about to be a first time champion soon, Indy or OKC, that’s cool at least, let the small markets get one once in a while.

Sure, Kessler doesn't have the prestige of an AD, I give you that.

At his career numbers? Or his numbers in Minnesota...Im still not getting it. He's not some "special player" on defense at all. I mean seriously what exactly dictates, that he's worth 14-15M per?

He meets the minimum threshold to qualify as 3 and D: 35% + 3 pt FG % on 2.0 + threes made per 36 and a 0.0 DBPM. He is 36%/2.4/0.4. And is relatively young, and could handle a little. Probably worth around 12-13M.

Sure, I'm not saying he is better. He is significantly younger, and lower maintenance, in many ways. The proposed deal also included LaVine.

It looks like DiVincenzo does all those things better at 12M per. I just don't see James taking a paycut, for this particular guy. After watching our series again, 3 times now, Im still not impressed. Naz Reid...I'd like to get him though.

We would have never gotten Luka with Kessler and Lavine.

Halliburton gets his crack at a chip. One of these young bucks, SGA or Haliburton is about to become a NBA Champion

Least rated NBA finals since Detroit San Antonio .
Oklahoma and Minnesota already were bad .
Wednesday’s Timberwolves-Thunder NBA Western Conference Finals Game 5 averaged 4.62 million viewers on ESPN, topping only Nuggets-Lakers Game 2 on an NFL Sunday in September 2020 (3.28M) as the least-watched WCF game since 2013 (Grizzlies-Spurs Game 2: 4.62M).

Oklahoma City’s blowout win was also the least-watched WCF Game 5 since Jazz-Spurs in 2007 (3.94M), falling even below that Lakers-Nuggets series in the 2020 “bubble” (4.99M). (The 2013 Spurs-Grizzlies series ended in a sweep.) Viewership declined 26% from last year’s Mavericks-Timberwolves Game 5 on TNT and truTV (6.26M).

Hmmm..so I wonder if low viewership ratings, would make the League rethink all this parity, and equal playing field stuff. The hoop heads will watch regardless, but it's the casuals, that drive the revenue.

Yeah Pascal ate the Knicks superior wing defenders up, but Haliburton did too. It's the Finals.. that can make you a superstar tho
