Guys, who is this “Reeves” person and what did he do to get traded?

Memphis makes sense as a landing spot for AR. They are 26th in the NBA in attendance, and FedEx Forum is only about a 2 hour drive from AR's home-town.

Uff, we really need to get on the phone with NO. Herb is a must, I would throw everything we got for him. Trey is awesome too. I also really liked Missi this season, he seems a perfect fit to Luka too.

I'm a huuuuge fan of Dejounte. His defense would fit Luka too, but offensively might get a bit awkward. I don't think we maximize Dejounte if he plays with Luka, so I sadly accept he doesn't make sense.

 

For whom?? What’s your choice for today (that you really don’t want to do of course) that you’d entertain sight unseen of what Reaves is going to look like this year. I actually do expect 5+ lbs of muscle up top added. He needs it and he knows he needs it and this is a Big Money contract year for AR who would have improved anyway like he has every year. This is what his agent is talking about I’m sure. Not to mention it’s reported and fairly obvious Luka really likes Austin and we know LeBron scouted him in 4th grade. What a luxury and how highly valuable to have both Luka and AR able to run the offense with such similar games and high IQ. I seriously doubt they’re going to pull another Caruso here. AR 5-10lbs heavier and stronger in his prime next 5 years may wind up better than anyone dreamed. With better defense than other offense heavy PGs.

 

On the other hand, New Orleans might have some buyer's remorse on Murray, and might view him as neutral value at best, with that large contract of his. Maybe Lakers could potentially "absorb" his contract along with either Trey or Herb. Luka has played with ball handling guards in the past.

 

I don't really like anybody on Memphis per say, so it would have to be a multi-teamer.

Trey Murphy and Herbert Jones would be perfect players for the Lakers. Great 3 and D guys. Shooters.

 

I wonder if we could trade Rooves, Gabe, Kleber & Shake + 1st for Troy Murphy and Herbert Jones, I'd consider that trade.

The 6'8 and over starting lineup (I'm half joking, we need a center too, but also, you know JJ's gonna do it). Get Chris Paul and use the MLE on Capela. Murphy and Rui are great shooters, if Jones goes back to his 40% 3pt shooting with Luka, watch out with that much spacing and defense.
