So all these twitter doctors aren’t privy to the x-rays and other imaging tests or whatever it was that spooked the Lakers …. are they? How can they make these proclamations?

I feel we are probably done for this year. If we pass the first round of the playoffs it would be surprising.

I'm wary of the fit between Luka/Lebron/AR.

In case they might be interested, maybe it's time to consider trading Lebron to the Cavs in the Summer for one of their centers and let him have one last crack at a ring.

They can't, its nonsense. The agent probably just asked a couple of doctors that he refers his clients to make the anonymous statement.

well of course williams's agency is going to say that. and the lakers could also find a few doctors who would agree that williams should've failed his physical

only reason this is still a thing is because the lakers are involved

What if it was just buyers remorse and pulled out?

That's just not something anyone would do at this professional level IMO. You'd be risking the credibility of your entire front office and potentially undermining your ability to make any future trades.

bingo. cba says it's at the incoming team's discretion, so outside opinions actually don't matter.

yeah, my only concern here is what this does to things for us later.

    https://basketball.realgm.com/info/agent-client-list/Jeff-Schwartz/23

if the agent is mad at us, he might steer clients away, etc.

it's possible that he's faking anger about it for optics, though.

If Spurs get Flagg I'm buying a "NBA is rigged" shirt lol

Really sorry for Wemby, that sucks. He'll be super entertaining to follow, hope it's an isolated thing.
Good for us in case things go south, potentially one less team on the playoff run.
Portland will be extra motivated today

i did a bit of googling and dvt in the upper body is uncommon but happens in athletes, maybe due to repetitive motion. the hope would be that's the cause in this case, as it's fixable.

It's not infrequent when doing repetitive activity - typically though it's folks like pitchers who have the same motion . Haven't heard of this with basketball players - jumpshot technically is repetitive but it's not the same as a pitch in terms of torsion/impact on the arm muscles/vasculature.

With respect to the "Williams situation", Dave Mcmenamin reported that Luka personally asked for Mark Williams and Rob went and made that happen. I doubt Rob got "cold feet" and decided to renege on the transaction unless something serious existed. It doesn't make any sense, IMO.

Either way, Rob needs to go find a solution this summer.

DVT is correlated with height, which I did not know, but it makes intuitive sense. There's a lot of science on it, and here's a less-geeked-out article on it, not that anyone asked. This article mentions "sedentary lifestyle" which is a 180 from Wemby; however, notice the time spent on planes. Checks out.

Kareem never suffered this, that I know of. Think how many miles he logged. He had migraines that were so bad he once described them as "like the Alien is inside your head trying to get out," or something like that. He used cannabis for it.

    Watching the Hornets game now.
I’m so happy the trade didn’t go through.
    Williams looks unathletic and clunky.
I would much rather have Dalton and the picks.

Lol this team has looked most like a title contender without both AD AND Luka

Build around AR and Lebron and a bunch of defenders

Haha, if only LeBron were 10 years younger. We’re in great shape, when healthy Luka is essentially younger LeBron, just one that shoots better but isn’t anywhere near as athletic. It’ll definitely be an adjustment for Reaves though, his game when he’s at his best is too similar in style to how Luka plays.

Luka is not a young Lebron. I doubt Luka is going to still be an All NBA caliber player at 35. We need to strike immediately, on another high end role player this summer. We might get one more chip out of Lebron. Luka might bring 2 more before he's done. Giving him 3 total.

I disagree with that completely only thing stopping Luka is the conditioning issue, but if he starts to take it more seriously there is no reason he can’t be a great player late into his 30’s. His game does not rely on his athleticism at all quite the opposite Luka’s game much like Jokic is based off his skill and basketball IQ.
