i just fail to see why any of these teams would give up a guy who's a proven starter at center for what we're offering. i was confused by the mark williams thing until we found out he was apparently a dead man walking.

i think risky guys like robert williams or older guys like capela are more likely.

but the good news is it seems like we've been looking all over. an opportunity is bound to present itself, one would hope. i hope we're looking overseas, too.

Kessler doesn't going to improve much . It's his ceiling
    Just forget about him.

Like Zubac, who wasn't as good as Kessler in his first couple of years? Lot's of young centers take time to reach their prime. Kessler will likely improve.

kessler's a little ahead of where zubac was at the same age/stage of development, imo. zubac broke out a bit in his 4th season, then dipped a bit but stayed steady until this year, when he's had something of a renaissance.

i don't think kessler has the touch around the hoop to be what zu is offensively, but i think he can keep improving defensively.

now that we have luka, i don't see why ainge would consider trading him for the package we sent for williams. again, charlotte wouldn't have considered it for williams if he had the same health records kessler does.

Zubac was playing 15 minutes on average and he was playing for Croatia in the summer when he was already star , Kessler is averaging 30 minutes already . He's not going collect 20+ rebounds.

no, but again, kessler's a bit ahead of where zubac was and has some room to improve.

again, doesn't matter, as i don't think he's for sale at our price.

simmons looked great in his clips debut. no better organization in the entire league when it comes to getting the most out of their players

I would have liked to sign Ben Simmons for the minimum as a defensive playmaker spot. At his best he is a difference maker defensively and a very good playmaker - he jsut can’t stay healthy.

looks like they're using him as backup center, which is i think the only place he can play at this point.

yeah, i'd say the evidence that they get the most out of people is mixed at best. this year, they just borrowed the ol' harden theory from houston to build a mid-tier playoff team. harden's in his last contract year, so he's ballin'.

he's also still got a serious case of the yips that would concern me greatly if i planned on trotting him out in the playoffs.

people think it's easy to scheme vando out of playoff series, but it's basically the same deal here. simply have his defender loosely shadow him with a foot near the key at all times.

    Simmons is Fools Gold.
Changing unis won’t suddenly turn him into a dependable player.
He’s a perfect fit for the Franchise nobody cares about.

Any chance Kleber gets healthy for the playoffs?
he's been hurt a lot but he's really good when available the combination of decent size, shooting, and switchability on defense was big for Dallas for years.

Reading thru the articles looks like he gets re-evaluated a few weeks before the playoffs so there could be a chance to at least get him some regular season minutes. It's a slim thread of hope but the way the center spot is Jackson Hayes or bust having a guy like Kleber could be the difference to winning a playoff series
