First, “sucks” is just a broad term, it’s just easier to say than to specify what exact level said player is at right now. We didn’t say washed, we didn’t say garbage, we didn’t say awful, those things all mean very different things. In this context sucks just means they aren’t helping much here and don’t fit our need.

Aside from that it’s not just about the stats, it’s about the role, what sort of player the are, what shape they are in. Right now Jonas is a slow, stiff, non-defender. Hayes also isn’t much of a defender, but he can block some shots because he’s a high flyer, and he’s a lob and dunk threat. Drummond is not that, Len is not that, most available are not that. I would take Len though, over Drummond for sure, for reasons Darius lists here

I’d take Williams back, just have the NBA amend the trade. Hornets get Cam and Wood and a 2nd, no first, no Dalton, no swap.

Lol...you know that man weighs over 400lbs right now. He was damn near there, when he retired.

Charlotte’s just going to embarrass themselves even more if Williams medical problems get confirmed by the NBA.

If not, I’m wondering what might come out of the investigation that hadn’t been suspected or speculated about.

I'm intrigued...I just found it odd, that we specifically said, that it wasn't his back.

Charlotte could have backed off, but they didn't. Saving face? Imagine the face you are going to lose, if medical tests show, multiple health issues present, that you failed to divulge, during the trade negotiations.

This is now being proven, as a fact, not a rumored accusation. This could get juicy! Nasty...

I feel bad for Williams, this could end up costing him a lot of coin. Dalton isn't going to be affected in that manner.

Len sucks but sometimes you just need a guy for a certain matchups to eat some minutes.

Can he guard Jokic without embarrassing him left for 10 to 20 mpg is basically what you're hoping to find. Outside of Jokic
OKC- Lakers matchup real well with their non physically tough bigs
JJJ - kind of scares me without AD but then I remember Lebron gave him a tough time, DFS matche up well with him
Sabonis - same thing Lebron f***ed with him when switched on D
    Jokic - need Len
CLIPPERS - Len could be useful as Hayes get pushed around by the ex Lakers
Houston - Sengun? Feel like Lebron and DFS should be fine here as well if Hayes gets cooked

Oh I agree that there is a chance this goes their way but it’s really really hard for me to imagine us pulling out of this deal if we didn’t see something legit. We needed Williams and on paper he’s got upside.

What we gave up just is not worth lighting up our reputation like this would.

I don’t know how much of his actual injuries we learn given various privacy laws and that’s an interesting aspect of this as well.
