Of the centers being named, none are going to make us title contentenders. I'd rather pick up some centers on the waiver wire and keep our assets for the summer when we can better tinker with the roster.

Is there a HOF'er with a stranger career?

Shaq and Dwight did the team hopping dance but that was towards the twilight of their career. KD is 36, so maybe he's there but performance wise he's not made those kind of regressions

Wood was a nice offensive player that for some reason never clicked with the Lakers. I remember he was good in Dallas.

Vucevic isn't the best fit with Luka. Luka is a very strong P&R guy, Lively, Gafford and alike always got a lot of alley hoops. We also need to up our rim protection, because...argh...we have none. Oh, and our guards can't defend so you better have some rim protection

Ham had Rui and Vando coming off of just signing new extensions. The 4 spot was going to be crowded, I never considered him a 5. If Rui got moved he'd get more burn.

I'm not worried about this season, I'm cool with taking the best player, that could both help this post season, and be flipped up for a higher level asset this summer. I would rather keep that FRP too. Vucevic and Hayes, or a Sharpe type is fine with me, for the rest of this campaign.

I honestly wouldn't be in a huge hurry, to try and find a long term Luka fit, by the trade deadline. Getting Luka just extended Lebron's shelf life IMO.

I'd make a play for Turner, might think about Jerami Grant again, other than that, I'd take Vucevic and flip him again this summer or before next year's trade deadline. He can hoop, and holds his own against most starting 5's in the League. We could find a way to make that work IMO.

Well Claxton is on a descending deal, goes down by $2 million each of his 3 years left after this one. His $27 million this year is 15th among centers. There aren’t a ton of centers that can defend the rim and also hold up on the perimeter as well as he does. I think he’s a pretty nice fit for a Luka team.

I do get the sentiment, though. We can afford to be patient and I suspect we’re going to be a very popular destination. If we did nothing else before the deadline I’d be a little frustrated, but I get it.

I’m good with it. We only have the ‘31 first and now it can’t be protected at all I believe, and one more 2nd rounder. Not worth trading the last first for most of the centers out there. Better to go into the offseason and see what you can get with it.

I’m sorry but the “don’t have to be on Lebron timeline is so dumb” you have Luka and Lebron on the same team try to get a chip this year. All while you can also build for the next 5-10 years

Going forward Lakers need to trade Rui for Mitch Robinson (using 3rd team to make cba compliant). DFS should be starting anyway.
This summer with no draft capital they need to promise Cliff Omoruyi at least a 2 way before combine. He's a perfect big man compliment to Doncic's game
