I think JJ just kind of going along with it. I don't think he really wants a big.

AD has said disparaging remarks regarding analytics. That goes against JJ.

What a cheap shot (above) but not much unlike Fish leveling Scola. Wonder what preceded it between them?

What do you guys and gals think about this?

I like it the way it is and it separates the NBA from all other leagues

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...oats-idea-shortening-games-10-minute-quarters

NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Wednesday that he likes the idea of shortening games to 40 minutes by going from 12-minute quarters to 10.

"As we get more involved in global basketball, the NBA is the only league that plays 48 minutes. And I would be -- I am -- a fan of four 10-minute quarters," Silver said during an afternoon appearance on "The Dan Patrick Show." "I'm not sure that many others are. Putting aside what it means for records and things like that, yeah, I think that a two-hour format for a game is more consistent with modern television habits."

NBA games this season have run 2 hours, 16 minutes on average, nearly identical to the past 15 seasons (2:15, according to data from ESPN Research).

"I think of a television program being two hours, Olympic basketball

btw, slightly annoying tidbit from yesterday's article that i forgot to discuss: players on the team complaining about a lack of playmaking after the dlo trade. duh. everybody wanted dlo out of here (probably including this source, who is lebron or AD), but nobody wanted to think about him being one of three total guys on the roster who can make plays with the ball in his hands.

so we've got players on the roster complaining about two roster holes (center, playmaker) after we traded one of those skillsets for neither.

in a vacuum, DFS is more valuable than dlo, but to us...i'm not sure. not unless we make some other moves. i never like making moves that necessitate other moves...

I think it was necessary to get this fully realized version of AR. Also while we knew it'd be a hole, you kind of need to see it to fully grasp the size of the issue. Gabe's always been a more natural secondary ball handler, but I think his playmaking has regressed since Miami too, and he's all we got outside of that starting group.

I think we can address this in buyout market. We just need the roster spot. It's a much lesser need than another big. If healthy, Fultz is fine. Or if CP finds his way to the marketplace.

I don't understand the point of this. People aren't tuning out of games because they're 15 minutes too long. This would also lead to starters playing a larger percentage of the game and benches becoming less important, which I don't really like.
