24-25 is Kessler enough for us to win the championship?
25-26 Lebrons last season. How good are we at this time? Still hard to project this.
2026 Draft. We have our pick. But, it's likely a later pick if we have the success that we would be intending on having with the win now type move.
26-27 season. Is a core of AD/Reaves/Kessler/Knecht enough? AD could potentially be traded on draft day 2026 for a lottery pick/future picks/etc.
2027 we have no incentive to tank if Utah has our pick unprotected
27-28 we have our 28 pick so it's ok to tank here. But the following season, we dint have out pick.

So, yeah overall hard to tank under these conditions. So maybe we better off choosing a direction and going with it instead of trying to do both.

 

Granted, I've only seen him play a handful of times, but Kessler never impressed me that much, and his stats are nothing special. Why are people so high on him?

 

he's young and has shown he's good enough to start. but no, he's not super special. he wouldn't be available if he was truly thought of as a big time piece.

utah just doesn't want to get gobert-ed again--where you have to overcommit salary-wise for a defensive anchor with serious limitations. still can't believe minny bailed them out there. ainge knows he got lucky and doesn't want to do a smaller version of the same thing.

 

What kind of deal could be struck between the Nets,Kings and Lakers to get Fox in purple and gold.Im pretty sure The Kings would accept a Cam Johnson AR deal for Fox but what would the Nets need?

 

yeah I don't get why we would give away a first round pick for him when we passed on guys like Drummond at vet min/MLE.

Kessler doesn’t have the offensive skills to be a starting center on a very good team, unless you have top tier talent at the four and either at the three or guard spots.
I’m betting Knecht will have a more impactful career and higher potential to be a starter on a contending squad.

Knecht is never going to be as good as Mitchell who is an MVP type of player. I just don't think it's even worth engaging with me if you think a a 23 to old who can't consistent score in double digits with creators is worth having a conversation about comparing him to a dude who was second in ROY at a much younger age
