No way Dinwiddie should be taking the minimum from anyone IMHO

yeah, i'd really like to keep dinwiddie, but i think he'll cost more than minimum. imo, he's probably worth closer to full mle.

Yeah, I'm hoping IF DLO leaves us high and dry we can use the MLE on Spence and keep enough leftover to pay just over the min for a big like Drummond.

If we keep Dinwiddie, I want him playing as many games as possible for minutes in the mid-high 20s. If DLO goes, I don't guarantee it but I say he's in the lead for the starting PG position.

I also don't think it's an either/or Dinwiddie or CP3. Not unless we keep DLO, Gabe and JHS and I'm skeptical of that. CP3 is more a pace him in the regular season, save him for the final reg season push + playoffs. I'd probably play him heavier the first 15 games than the next 55 just because he'll be able to help setup JJ's offense as we're finding our footing. I see his value much more on the coaching/locker room side vs someone going out there playing 20+ minutes every night.

If you can flip Gabe, JHS and a protected first for DFS that clears up that jam.

I'd prefer for a bigger improvement by flipping Rui or S&T DLO for a two way wing, but I think DFS might be more realistic.

My wife will get a glazed look and tell me "that's enough". But the good news is that after 30 years of that, the walls do start talking back and they are in complete support!!!

Tobias Harris is imo going to be the guy that has to take a serious pay cut if the 6ers sign Paul George. The other teams with cap don’t have needs at his position

harris is going to go from being overpaid to underpaid, imo. mle's not enough for him, but you're right--people with more space aren't going to use it on him.

He can be very useful for a lot of teams. Spacing 4 is a hot commodity in the league. I think he can have a similar path like Aaron Gordon, becoming a valuable role player for a contender as long as you don't expect him to do a lot

i think harris is what we want rui to be. but he's already there and will probably make less money next year. if we end up moving rui for a guard, signing harris as a 25-30mpg 3-4 would be nice.

Yeah true. Rui really needs to work on his rebounding. He made strides defensively and can become decent there, but if he doesn't rebound, he really has to score a lot every time he enters because otherwise he's a net negative

And if he does that, he has a long career in the league and can make 100+ million in his career

thank you for the clean up. I was having a hard time making it all work.

Obviously I’m being sarcastic as we all know he’s either staying at Golden State or going to Orlando, but we’re in that part of the off-season. So and so is coming to the Lakers, though we have no cap, just for them to conveniently re-sign or go somewhere else for like $80 mil more than they were first expected to sign.

so, we know this is all a money tactic and what not.

    hooray for the off-season.

lol, clutching their only good front office move until the death.

to be fair, the likelihood that a top-10 pick outperforms caruso for his career is actually pretty low.

we let him walk when we had his bird rights, for less than the full mle, btw.

It's gonna haunt us for years, the worse is still to come when he leaves Chicago for a contender. White and Jrue are showing how much these type of guards are crucial for team success. League is guard heavy, these guys are the antidote.
    Hopefully he returns in FA

That's another team that needs a new owner. Reinsdorf can rest on the Jordan years till he dies and the Bulls won't be losing money if they make the play-in.
