Reaves/Dlo/Rui/Wood/2029 1st/2031 1st for Fox/Huerter. Then, you still have Gabe/JHS/Hayes/Maxwell to try and get a center.

Saw some speculation that if they didn't turn it around soon this might happen. But damn!

Russell, Vincent, Hayes, 2029 1st (top-13 protected), 2031 1st (unprotected) to Brooklyn for Johnson and Sharpe. The Lakers take back 5.67 million less in salary. This should be enough to account for Johnson's trade bonus and signing a backup point guard with the additional roster spot.

If we get Fox somehow, Rob will look great, even though we all know it would really be the Klutch connection making it happen.
Anyway, I bet he ends up with Wemby.

Either one is fine. It's only 1 million difference in contract

Just don’t see any way possible that Sacramento helps make us title contenders by trading us Fox.

    Is it a new rumor?
The Portland Trail Blazers are desperately in need of an expedited rebuild. They are one of the worst teams in the Western Conference right now, so they will be sellers when the trade deadline rolls around. One trade proposal would certainly help do that.

In this proposal, the Blazers get a haul for one of their players.

Trail Blazers Receive: D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jalen Hood-Schifino, 2029 First-Round Pick (via Lakers), 2025 Second-Round Pick (via Clippers)

    Lakers Receive: Jerami Grant

i mean, rob's strategy was getting into bed with klutch, so it sort of would be his plan working.

highly unlikely. guessing houston will offer jalen green and one of their wings (eason would be my guess, and he can play), plus picks, and we can't touch that offer even if fox pushed hard for la. but i'd definitely have lebron on that horn today about this. like, i'm handing the keys to you. in la. think about it...

this is what i'd offer for grant. i think it may be an overpay, but i've always liked his theoretical fit. it doesn't fit the recent suggestion that we want a bridge piece, though, as grant's nearly 31 already.

If I’m Rob I hang up the phone mid sentence. Grant’s stock is plummeting. He’s old, overpaid and hasn’t played elite defense since the bubble nearly 5 years ago.

We'd be left with two guys (LeBron and AR) that can initiate offense. That's untenable IMO. Sure you could sign someone like Fultz or DSJ, but there's a reason those guys are sitting at home in December.

Seems too early for the Kings to trade Fox and start over. They just fired Brown, they'll see if that shakes things up. If I were them I'd keep Fox, sell Sabonis for whatever assets I can get and try to hit on a couple of draft picks (they owe a Top 12 protected pick to ATL this year, but have the rest of their picks going forward) or trade for a different running mate while Fox is still good.
