Yeah, I get it but it's arguable if it makes sense with a 40y old superstar who's still a top5 player and the other one at the peak of his prime.
In the long term, I agree that if a couple of guys in rookie contracts/extensions + couple min/exceptions ring chasers make half of your core rotation, you can have a great team.
Not sure it's the best time to go that route now but hope it pays off

Interesting. It would never happen, but still interesting. Curry will be a lifer unless he asks out.

We can't send the 26 pick, it would have to be the 29.
But yeah Bron and Curry would be an amazing pairing.
Max would be a starter and our bench Knecht, Wood, Hayes and Reddish. Great on 2k though

In the latest episode of Yahoo Sports' No Cap Room podcast, Jake Fischer reported on the Golden State Warriors plans with Lauri Markkanen off the trade market. With their young players still in the fold, the Warriors are expected to turn towards potentially extending Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.

A rookie scale extension for Kuminga may not be cheap for Golden State. Fischer reported that Kuminga is looking for a max extension. That would see 6-foot-8 forward signing for just over a projected $224 million over five years.:LLLLLebronlaughing:

Thus far, Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes and Franz Wagner have all received max rookie scale extensions from the 2021 NBA Draft class.

gotta hit the salary minimum. i'm not sure that eating reddish and a late second wouldn't have been a better investment, tbh.

A lot of these 4y contracts this year
Weird it goes to Svi who's been almost out of the league. I do like him though, great shooter.
Yeah, really bummer we can't even get someone to eat a contract. Hope this ignites fire on Wood, Hayes and Cam. They can still be solid 10 or 11th men in the rotation, so hopefully they come hungry to training camp

they're all in early bird rights territory, now, too. so if any of them proves rotation worthy, we can keep them and give them a raise. not saying it's going to happen, but watching the podcasters squirm if it does will be worth it and more.

I’m all for players being motivated for their next contract.

I like it even more when a contract doesn’t change how a player plays. Caruso will play the same way regardless of what he’s being paid.

    they...also...lost a franchise icon, acrimoniously...

not sure this is the management victory you're claiming.

edit: i'd also love to have seen the response on this forum had we say, moved even dlo for hield and kyle anderson.

Not at all if Christie steps up into a good rotation player with better coaching too and schemes to max what his current strengths are. It’s only embarrassing in your head about that.
