He makes around $36 million, so on paper something like DLo, Rui, and 2 FRPs could get it done (probably has to involve a third team because NOP definitely wouldn’t want DLo when they already have Murray and McCollum)

Of all the players we’ve been recently linked to, Ingram in a vacuum is the most worthy of 2 FRPs IMO. But I’m not sure he’s a great fit alongside Lebron and AD.

And I’m not sure if we’d get outbid. Or if maybe there aren’t too many teams looking to give up significant assets AND presumably have to lock in Ingram to a max extension. And maybe we wouldn’t want to do that either.

Ingram is certainly the best player we could get, and that's not a bad contract all all. But I do question the fit. Not sure I see it.

To clarify, he’s on a $36 million expiring contract.

So while that’s what we’d have to match in a trade, it would likely be a situation where you are trading for him under the agreement that you are immediately giving him a max extension. Either that, or you’re trading your assets for someone you risk walking in free agency the following year.

i mentioned him a while back and everyone got mad at me.

new orleans basically has no size right now, so i'm guessing that's what they want back for ingram. and i'm also guessing they'd like to lower the salary commitments a bit.

i'm not sure there's a great deal to be had, but i will say that a) we have worked with them before and b) they now don't have the added disincentive of owning our pick, so if a deal works for both sides, they'd do it.

i just think there isn't a 1-1 match here.

I like Brandon on offense, but he doesn’t play much defense at all. Plus, he’s not a piece that you pair with AD for the next 3-4 seasons. We would also be crazy to give up TWO firsts for his services.
I wish him well wherever he ends up, but I hope it’s not with us.

yeah, rui/vando/1st for grant seems fair, as does dlo/reddish/1st for sexton/kessler.

but both teams are probably asking for a second 1st. in the form of swaps, we have that, but...we're tapped out for years after that.

grant/knecht
reaves/max/lewis/bronny
sexton/gabe/jhs

is that team worth selling out the next several years of draft picks? yikes...rob has to work here, post-lebron, remember. it's a definite improvement over the current squad, but is going from 9th to 7th worth that?

No, no it’s not. But, I bet Rob will do something because of the pressure to immediately upgrade a play-in squad, even if it means giving up too much.
I’m actually fine with just trading for a serviceable big with DLo going out and Dinwiddie starting at the point.

Most recently, Mr. Rambis called the Westbrook trade done A FULL 3 HOURS BEFORE any media insiders.

Here you can see a post from Woj where he’s still saying the Lakers are in discussions to close the deal, while Mr. Rambis said it’s already done in the next post right below:

I’d be over the moon excited to bring BI back. He was my favorite post Kobe era Laker and still is.

A lot of people were in love with Ingram and Clarkson for no apparent reason. Neither would be a good fit with Lebron, AD and Reaves because they need the ball in their hands and are low-volume three-point shooters. Similar fit problem as Westbrook and DDR.

He posted saying the AD trade was done 5 min after Woj, but Mr. Rambis didn't know Hart was a part of it. If Mr. Rambis was just copying from Woj, he would have not gotten the players involved wrong.
