This is completely rational, but I am irrationally getting impatient. ZERO moves 24+ hours into free agency is a tough pill to swallow.

And I get that free agent options are limited and difficult to line up due to tampering, but I would hope as soon as FA options were missed out on, we’d already have trade frameworks lined up to move onto as a backup plan.

I get this. I suppose I still feel like we do have a backup plan and are working toward that now.

and that's exactly why he joined the mavs instead of a team that has gotten out of the first round once since 2020

We will see. I feel like we’ve got some pieces we can use to improve the team and would prefer for us to go into year with our team constructed and ready to go for our new coach rather than trying to make something happen during the season.

Westbrook isn’t better than Dinwiddie on any planet. Not even the flat earth one.

Even after flaming out again in another hometown team and after all those puff pieces are written it turns out it wasn't all about Russ being Russ, slick still won't admit Brick sucks lol.

Lol..My point was that Dinwiddie sucks worse at this point. I didn't see anything about Jokic asking specifically for Dinwiddie .

I agree that It is an arms race and we shouldn’t stand pat.

Make another real run with LeBron and AD. If it doesn’t work then we can use AD to recoup any picks we lost and fully start the rebuild.

Only way I think Rob can redeem himself is a trade for Lauri or Donovan Mitchell, or someone in that caliber.

I'm also OK with trading DLO for Brook Lopez a 2nd time.

I think Reddish/Hayes opting in has REALLY hampered us man...

I'm also FINE with Jerami Grant coming this way if we don't give up ANY future picks (because why should we have to?)
Wouldn't mind getting Robert Williams in that same deal with Portland...give them DLO/Vincent/Reddish/Hayes/JHS for Jerami Grant and Robert Williams.

Bring back Dinwiddie and Taurean for minimum deals, make LeBron take a paycut at that point and we can still sign someone with our $12.9M MLE.

OR just do DLO for Vuc or DLO for Lopez.

IDK man just f***ing do something or just run it back and call it a day.

redeem from what? i'm really confused as to what people thought we were going to do with a 190 million dollar payroll heading into free agency. other teams in our situation are currently hemhorraging talent. we've basically just stood pat.

ick; again, why is milwaukee open to this? if they are, we shouldn't be.

i think it actually helps because they can become trade fodder. they walk, we gain nothing. we can buy them out and still have vet min slots.

    don't tell slick.

no; he's essentially a mythical player at this point, who wasn't even that great at his peak.

good on first part; lebron on second part:

there better be 1st rounders headed our way.

i feel like there's a near 100% chance of these two alternatives?

anyway, we tried to dip into FA (and still might with derozan...even if it's not a great idea) and failed. that's ok. trades were always the way, and trades can happen any time between now and february. i'd prefer sooner, too, but i'm not giving up s*** for vucevic, and i'm not paying a bunch of firsts for jerami grant.

If we trade for Grant, are we still able to sign a big like Lopez for the MLE?
