bingo. lavine's the big swing that doesn't kill the long term. lebron probably doesn't even have to take a pay cut to make it happen!

He is not worth 314 million and I do not care if he won a championship, C Bags will regret giving him that contract

I think Tatum is more worth it than Brown.

I only say this, especially, because I swear Kobe vouched for Tatum more than anyone else as he was retiring.

I don't believe in this BS about Klay.
GSW offer Klay 4 for 100 ,Lakers 4 for 80 anf he refused ,but he agreed to 2 for 35 from Dallas
    Hell Noooo

it seems not true because it is not true.

he didn't refuse our offer; gs did. if teams were squeezing us to get off contracts, we were wise not to go for it. lebron and anthony irwin can cry into their beers about it, but it's the right choice. i'm actually not super happy we offered dlo for klay to begin with. it's a downgrade in talent at this point, and potentially in fit. dlo shoots like klay, (doesn't) defends like klay, but can also initiate offense and handle the ball.

No one wants to trade fairly or help us outright without fleecing us. That’s why we develop what we have, this team has the core of a WCF, we need to try again with a less dumb coach

That's kind of semantics tho isn't it? Klay had to agree to a deal first, then you take it to the Warriors. They just passed on it. Good luck for us.

Given our roster spot crunch, would it be possible to aggregate enough salary to send out for LaVine without including Rui or Vando? DLo + Gabe + some combination of JHS/Wood/Reddish/Hayes, likely getting a third team involved?

Idk Kareem, I think we were lucky that Memphis had all their bigs hurt, and had to play Tillman TBH. Golden State is a good matchup for us with AD. We still needed Lonnie, to have a big game to get that series in control.

I admire the spirit of this post tho..

that full list of salaries would do it (18+11+3.9+3.1+2.5+2.5~41) if lebron takes a tiny (~2m) haircut.

obviously, we'd need a third team to eat the minimums chicago didn't want.

i actually think it would be easier to just include rui or vando and keep gabe, though.

C'lo and Rui are at around 37M combined, that's the key to absorbing a big contract.
Now you only need 6M to match Zach.

Take a FRP back, and call Lebron on his word, and sign Demar with the MLE.

We might be able to dangle that pick plus something for a big.

He refused offer from GSW 100 for 4 , LeBron called him and I am sure that he had talk with his dad.
So he just needs to use calculator lol
    There's something else going on

Even for roster balance. Gabe is a starter if DLo walks

Our last deal with Utah was fine. Same with the Wizards.

We can make deals and as a front office skeptic even I think some are hitting the panic button too quickly.

Again, I think the league really did crack down on tampering which has slowed down the amount of deals we see as a whole.

I also think the lack of a real superstar that kind of sets the market has slowed things down too. Often there is a big domino that has to fall before free agency really gets going. Not so much this year so teams are really still kinda feeling it’s the market.

I just can’t imagine a scenario where we start the season as currently constructed. If that happens then yeah, I’ll join the angry mob.

I see no real reason to panic right now though.

That is scary. Gabe can’t shoot for s***. Even if he’s healthy.

He's the opposite of DLo. Shoots 33% during the regular season and 39% in the playoffs.

I think with Lavine and Reaves in the wings with Bron holding the ball and AD at the 5, Gabe is the right man to just do the dirty work of that group. Can be Vando too, but I rather have his energy and defense with the bench mob.
