Would suck to lose Lonnie after him showing up in the playoffs, but if he can get more good for him. I want no part of Reddish, I think the league has seen enough, but I absolutely take Yuta. Would be nice to get Mo back cheaper and see what he can do healthy. Splitting the MLE with Dennis really hurts the chance of a bigger impact player, he was good, but he also absolutely disappears some games, rather try to see if we could land Carter.

I have to think there are solid backup options for the MLE if Brown/Lopez get taken.

The idea of splitting it between Schröder and Gordon isn’t particularly exciting… but it also wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, assuming that the hard cap doesn’t pose any challenges such as preventing us from retaining one of DLo/AR/Rui. Especially if you still bring back Bamba (maybe with the BAE). End result would basically be swapping Beasley for Bamba.

Again not super flashy, but still pretty solid outcome. Hoping that’s the worst case scenario though, and Rob does have some moves up his sleeve

Splitting the MLE between Shroder and Gordon doesn't sound good at all. Would much rather go for Divicenzo or Carter.

If we split, it absolutely one million percent has to be a PG and a wing or center. Cannot do two guards.
Dennis or Carter and Prince or Ingles (need injury checked out) is a good Friday as far as I'm concerned.

I like Yuta, but he's a minimum guy to me.

Chicago could be on the table for Dennis
    Austin offer sheet
    On DLO
    The minimum market
Fine with TT back as a locker room, break in case of emergency big. I'm in on a Bron-Love reunion if he'd leave MIA.

Not nearly as down on Reddish for pennies as most. Had some proof of life play in Portland. Not against Troy coming back, just don't see why he would. Think there's better for him out there.

Carter is who I want if Dennis leaves for more money. I’m good with Lyles on a cheap deal. We aren’t getting Lopez. I’m hoping there’s another big that Rob and company have their hopes set on because we desperately need one.

I prefer Carter over Shroder. Cleaner fit due to his low usage and good three-point shooting.

    Down to two it seems

    Now some Beard stuff

so it's for scraps, if both stars are on board, they're clearly not being moved.

    What causes the break up
So... he took a haircut and they're trying to go cheap on him again. Telling him to go find an offer outside first AND they'll pulling a Mitch by being the only GM not to tamper.

I hate Harden and there's clear spin here from his camp, but Morey is a snake and if 75% of this is true then that's really low and I don't blame the Round Mound of Flop for wanting out.

It was clear it was going to be for scraps when he opted in. He wouldn’t hand over control like that unless it was clear between both parties what was going to happen. Funnily enough I think the clippers could roll out a lineup of:

    Westbrook / Hyland
    Harden / Mann
    Leonard / Covington
    George / Batum
    Zubac / Plumlee

That’s absolutely stacked, but still an injury prone and past their prime team. Ultimately they have a one year window to win it all and then it’ll get blown up.

I also dislike Harden… but man I can’t help but think how nice it would have been to be able to acquire him. Especially when most likely the Clips are going to get him for extremely cheap.

Beasley, Bamba, Christie, and an unprotected 2029 first may end up being a better package than the Clippers put together.

And sure that has some level of risk because I love Christie, but that’s a gamble you would have to take. You get to go the “three star” route but also still maintain SEVERAL options to keep depth.

ballmer's no doubt gonna go all-in this coming season to try and get them into their new arena with as much fanfare as possible. i'm guessing they'll end up just having to trade away powell and one other piece. morris maybe? although not sure if philly would be willing to take him

Brook Lopez would be my main and probably only target if we're looking to use the full MLE. I believe he's been a huge underrated piece of Milwaukee's recent success, and it would allow us to slide AD to the 4 which was always his preferred spot.

Really not sold on Bruce Brown.

    NO

    NO

    GOD NO

    NOOOO

Harden is a loser. Old. Soft. Disappears in playoffs. Makes the team slower and one of our strenghts is pace. Likes to dribble the ball until it wears out all the rubber. We already have LeBron doing that.
He may also fugg the chemistry. Ham's culture is hard work, toughness and grit. He's none of that

Anyway, we already dropped Bamba (and Beasley? Haven't seen official reporting) and we don't have enough players to match. Unless it's a S&T for Dlo.

I don't think AD will ever play the 4 in a 4out system. While Ham is in LA, AD is a 5

Bruce Brown is a solid role player who doesn't need the ball to be effective .

    Would be a great addition

would much prefer something like splitting the MLE between Schroder and Divincenzo, instead of adding Bruce Brown.

That's fair. I see benefits on either way.

I'm not too worried if we don't get Brown. We can use the MLE in many different ways. And there's always unexpected guys signing for less, who knows who can be available for the MLE. But splitting it allows us to get guys we wouldn't be able.
And that also allow us to be in the MLE conversation with all other contenders. So we can steal a guy from them and make them weaker(or not improving) while getting better ourselves.

We can't be too picky. He would come around the 4/5mil, not sure there's much better in the market

jsm is right; morey is such a snake. i think i called this last year when harden took the cut so they could get tucker. i said, "wow, that's a lot of trust for a guy who definitely has NOT earned it." i thought maybe morey wouldn't screw over his boy, but he did! imagine being the next big name morey's trying to land and having to listen to his promises. imagine what embiid is thinking right now.

i feel like you can score on that lineup. a lot. and so injury prone and old. but sure, tons of talent.

first thing i thought when i saw the opt in was that we could have had harden for bamba/beasley+ and just let dlo walk. i hope rob has better plans than what it appears so far.

it would have kept him from the clippers, too.

and i dislike harden more than pretty much everyone.

DDV opted out of more than that. highly doubt he's going for 4/5.
