Little surprising with JC. Market must not be there. Good sign if we want to keep LW4

Schroeder might be a perfect fit for them as well.

From what I've heard/seen, it seems like the Spurs are focusing more on their frontcourt. They're going to start Wemby at the 4 with Collins at the 5 and they've been linked to Grant Williams and Lopez. It sounds like they're going to bring back Tre Jones and they want Jones/Vassell/Sochan/Branham to get a lot of reps as ballhandlers. I could still see them giving Reaves the offer sheet just to f*** with us though. I don't see Rui for them.

i like powell. dirty work buy, high character, high motor. all depends on price, obviously. but if he can be had for BAE type money, i do it. good 15-20mpg utility big.

spurs could have signed schroder last year and didn't, so i'm not sure what's changed. he's not a floor general type (i'd argue he's not even a pg on offense, tbh), and i think they need some table setters for wemby.

someone would have to explain this one to me. they literally can't take him in a s&t. so he's back to last year, threatening to take the tpmle to try and get the max from dallas. bkn already called his bluff once.

kd and beal both make 47, right? add booker's 36 and you've got 130 right there. kyrie s&t at the 40 dallas has most assuredly already offered him, even exchanged for ayton, seems impossible to me under the cap. those roster holds would carry it over. so he'd have to sign for something closer to ayton money.

    Buha with a Brown update

If we're going this route, we really have to know the dollar amounts for Rui and DLO. To the penny. With an unpredictable market, I don't know how we can be *that* certain.

I think Haynes is willing to type whatever Kyrie tells him. Even if there is no possible path for it, like Bron going there while being ineligible to be traded. I get wanting to maintain the relationship, but Kyrie is a mad man and can let you look foolish

Does Buha have the sources? Wasn’t he the one confident that we were trading the 17th pick?

Definitely not trash. Perfect fit for heavy contenders. He just goes in and does his job. Would be amazing to get him as a backup and some AD insurance.

Hmm interesting. If there's no market for him, either there's none for Dlo too or some team already signed Dlo and doesn't want Clarkson. But I get him, there's like 7 teams with cap space and the rest is exceptions or S&T which are unlikely unless a team REALLY wants a guy. Don't see a team doing that for Clarkson or Dlo at this point.

Well you can only chop up one of them. If you chop both, you would have 4 pieces for 3 contract, don't think you can merge both exceptions.
Prince at 4/5mil would be awesome

I'm pretty sure most deals are already closed at this point.

Gotta love Kyrie's news. I'm SO HAPPY he's not a Laker. Hope I don't get shocked tomorrow and eat these words lol

Both he and Irwin are reporting the same on this one. Here's how I see it:

    -Buha/Irwin: LA front office sourcing
    -Stein: Nuggets FO sourcing
-Singer (Denver Post reporter): Brown's agent

Most people had us moving the 17th. I think we were legitimately surprised the market wasn't there. The new CBA really had everyone holding on to players on draft night.

Yeah, I like him as a backup garbage man who does the dirty work. Also fits with what Rob said we're looking for this summer.

Yeah, that's what I meant. You can't combine and chopping up the BAE would result in a contract likely less than the min. But if you can use those two assets on 3 players, that's interesting to me.

Also, if Kyrie goes to Phoenix, I’ll laugh. How does Vogel and Phoenix make things different than Nash and Brooklyn?

is it just because Phoenix is a small market?

    No.

*if there was ever a player to talk about shocking the world and then do exactly what was expected, it's Kyrie
