    guessing we'll prioritize DS first. if he walks, we might have the kind of role lowry could fit into. but pretty much any contender would take lowry as a backup on a vet min. basically the same as russ, cp3, etc. for a few minutes at a time, these guys can still be valuable.

    I hear him linked to the Lakers. Maybe they benefit from getting rid of one extra year of salary for Beasley. Could be Bamba instead of Beasley. Maybe this allows them to keep Lopez and Middleton?

    That would be a welcome change in course but I'm still not convinced. He was saying on his podcast with Larsuel that he was hearing there was no interest in bringing Beasley back just a few days ago, although maybe they just don't want Malik the player.

    i'd be impressed if we went over the second apron to keep beasley, just because it means we're going all in with the big boys, salary-wise. i just can't see it. i'd almost have even more questions about the caruso debacle if we decided to suddenly become ballmer here.

    169 is the first, 179 is the second, i think. i could see us exceeding the first, but not the second.

    keeping the entire team would require exceeding the second.

    I feel bad for every team's capologist who has to digest this by free agent Friday and explain it to the GM.

    I want Bamba back because I don’t see any other centers I want on the market, but decline on Beasley.

    I want Max Christy to take the minutes Beasley would get.

    I’ll be surprised if LaVine gets moved. His injury history should scare away most and that contract the rest. I view it as one of the worst in the NBA.

    Agreed. I will be extremely surprised if they bring back Beas, even if the plan is to package him later in a trade. I don’t like this option because it means we would actually have to play him legitimate minutes to increase his value. We all hoped that he would have worked out. Hopefully, he can find his mojo in a different uni.

    The exact same roster never returns year after year. The only fans thinking this would have to be brand new to the NBA.
