D'Angelo is a better player than Rozier

yeah, rozier's even worse defensively and is less talented on offense. as one of the biggest proponents of trading for rozier last year, that was a desperation move. russell's better.

I expect DLO back. Especially since it sounds like his salary request is reasonable and he played pretty well for us overall.

Honestly I’m not expecting much as far as trades outside of smaller under the radar moves.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if the Lakers trade AD. Nobody is talking about it, but it would make sense to trade him while his value is up. His value is only going to go down. When Lebron leaves the franchise AD is not the man to build around, and the Lakers are not going to feel comfortable signing him to an extension! I believe that there could be a sleeper trade out there for AD. Laker fans need to open their minds to this and look at things deeper than what is on the surface.

Wonder who it is you expect to get in a trade for AD, worth building around more than him. I understand some fans might not appreciate him as much as myself and some others around here do, but seriously - who is it that you would trade AD for that would make this team better short or long term?

I'm not sure. It could be multiple players and/or picks. I'm not a fan of trading away the best player in a trade, but AD's issues are something that needs to be taken into account. I'm just saying, folks should open their minds to the possibility.

His salary “request” is reasonable …. or what would be reasonable for the performance he now can be “expected” to bring to a team?

Which young All Star player are we getting back?
I think there’s a 99.9% chance AD will be a Laker next season.

Well at least it wasn’t AR or Max suggested to be available for moving. Wow. His “issues”. What issues do the unnamed player or players have that would be coming back weighed against the “talents” and size of all involved?

What are you talking about? He has obvious issues in terms of his ability to stay on the court. Do I really need to list his issues here for you? Doesn't matter what i say, you wont agree. You seem to get overly attached to our players. Don't get me wrong, continuity is great. I'm just saying that maybe we have a window to get something of quality for AD, while we still can.

    Who are we getting?
Unless it’s Luka, The Joker, Jason Tatum, or Giannis, I can guarantee you that the Lakers won’t be interested. None of those players are even remotely available for a trade this summer.

None of those NBA2K type trades. I think a lot of people are over rating AD. Probably won't happen but I am saying fans need to consider the possibility.

So, like virtually every other star big man, save for Jokic (currently) he gets typical basketball and s*** happens type injuries, especially from the way he plays the game to be as good as he is both sides of the ball …. and even a freakish kind of foot injury this year ….. yet he did not miss a terrible amount of the season and gutted it out to play through the discomfort staying on the floor the last 2/3 of the season and 3 rounds of fairly dominant playoff performance, all aspects of the game tolled, and you’re talking “street clothes” in spite of that? Who are the iron men with size and talent that we would have any prayer of getting for him that would not be downgrades talent wise to pair or group around the other star LeBron who is 8 years older and was the bigger problem injury wise this year and likely going forward?

AD is not the guy to build around. He is just not that guy.

The Lakers could upgrade at other positions. They don't necessarily have to get a better center than AD at the 5. That's not quite how it works.

It’s been a problem enough without a decent quality 2nd actual center this season to back up our all star quality forward / center …. and going from that to zero star or semi star quality big men to do battle with the other good big men in the league, I would say is definitely not how it will work.

Are you kidding me? If we had 4 great players at the other positions, and a decent center we would be fine. The center does not have to be a star player any more, I'm sure you are aware of that.
