that would be such an incredibly brain dead move by portland. PG+dame would be a 8-10 seed at best, and that's assuming PG can actually stay healthy

I really don’t understand why any GM would gamble on PG at this point.

Moving up in the second round, maybe as a precursor to moving out of the first round?

Do these cash expenditures for picks count against the cap ..... am guessing?

I agree. But if they are to keep Same, they will be desperate to add an all-star.

I think Fournier makes sense in the Spurs to help Wemby settling.

Interesting move on getting the #40. I imagine it is the first piece of a bigger move

Not sure if Bobby is right or Tony.

But if we spent $4.3m on this pick, there's someone we REALLY like in that range

    Edit:

    Seems Ole Bob was wrong

Nope, pretty sure it’s just cash being transferred from ownership of Team A to ownership of Team B. No cap ramificationsx

The only thing is that you’re only allowed to send out up to $5 million in cash for trades per year. But that’s not an issue here, since as the last few posts pointed out, that resets in a few weeks anyways.

I don’t think a Hield or Turner trade with Indy will materialize anymore if they just did a deal to swap 2nd rounders. I’m sure there were discussions while they were in contact with each other, but the fact that they left it as a 2nd round pick swap means there’s no traction with any other players.

Atlanta being active is very interesting to me, I think DeAndre Hunter and DeJaunte Murray would be great with the Lakers and worthwhile to package 17 with Beasley/Bamba to get the deal done. Both play defense and fill a position of need. Murray is very cost controlled as well.

I don't think that's enough to get Murray at all but Hunter would be a definite nice add.

Atlanta traded 2 or 3 FRPs for Dejounte. Hunter is worth more. What does that accomplish for Atlanta?

What the? Why? Giving up on a young talented player for a Chris Paul that is almost done? Has to be more to this.

Wow. That's pretty shocking. Looks like we're bringing back DLO, hopefully with Dennis too.

They've regretted the contract the gave him all year. They hit that reset button.
