clips have to add at least one more player to make it work, but yeah, they should keep adding salary. also, they have no draft picks, so they just get brogdon for nothing? marcus morris has zero value right now.

gallinari's corpse must be the missing piece, along with one of the clips' low salary end of bench guys. only way it works, i think, as the pick can't count for salary yet.

yeah, i'm not even sure he's talking about lebron, but he definitely has someone in mind that he believes others know about.

my only beef with lillard is that it sure *feels* like he's trying to play it both ways--i want to stay...if you fix the roster. someone who's truly committed to the organization would just be like "i love it here, and they treat me well. so i'm going to suit up. i hope we can improve, but that's their job."

i get that that's not common--and that there are reasons NOT to be committed to the organization, sometimes very good ones. i just feel like if you like being part of something, you make a TON of money, etc., it's ok to wish you got a ring, but you know it wouldn't feel the same elsewhere. imagine dirk left dallas and won a ring somewhere else. ask durant about it.

Brogdon is yet another injury prone player on the wrong side of 30. Talented guy but man this is one hell of a field study in terms of roster construction theories

Man if the Wizards are basically giving Porzingis away for a salary dump + 30th pick, we should seriously consider undercutting the deal and come in with Beasley/Bamba/17.

The idea of a Porzingis/AD front court is so intriguing because Porzingis can space the floor and block shots, and he’s a borderline allstar

 

the clips are the offseason champs every year. and a LOT of that has to do with the open checkbook. it's nice to always have 20m in salary you can easily drop.

Lakers would be the odds on title favorite if they resign Reaves/Rui and get Hield and Turner. That would be a very tough 2 way team with size and skill across multiple positions. Hope they can get it done
