Latest trade buzz from Givony's mock draft that went up this morning for ESPN INSIDER

Blazers indicating they're not trading the pick. Bluff or if Dame packing for Miami?
Pacers could move their pick for a vet
    Jazz options
Mavs looking for ways to upgrade, possibly with Capela
Hawks could use draft night to shed salary
Nets could attach a vet to their pick(s) to move up

actually, the 2022-23 numbers look great, tbh. advanced and regular. the problem is we have years of data that suggest this isn't going to happen again. also, his team was bad. you could argue that maybe he wasn't part of that problem, but again...years of data say otherwise.

portland not getting the offers they want for that pick. no way they can thread the needle as they're trying to imply via the mouthpiece here. nobody believes that.

morey still putting in the work. indy going to trade the 7th overall pick to absorb tobias harris's contract when they can just sign kuz, barnes, or rui. ok, bro.

huh? implying dallas is going to dump the #10 pick with bertans and move down to 16 and 28? there's info missing here.

this makes more sense. mavs could move 10/bertans or 10/bullock/mcgee to atl for 15/capela. atlanta saves a few million this year and a bunch next year in either case, which matters if they want to keep their top guys intact, as murray's going to get a raise.

could also make it a mega deal by doing collins/capela/15 for bertans/bullock/kleber/10. hawks save 8 million right off the bat, with bullock off the books the next year and bertans only guaranteed at 5 million, all that's left is kleber at 11 per, and he's a decent backup big.

i could see both teams going for it.

    MLE?

I don't think so, but if he was to take a haircut that is more representative of his play then I think this is the only place he considers that move. Klutch + Bron. The LA broadcasting opportunities would off-set the loss of salary.

Could Bron sell each Dray and CP on coming because the other is coming. Bron the GM getting those two for the MLE + vet min combined would be good GM'ing on his part. Don't see it but it's not a wild as Beal going to Phoenix for 2nd round picks.

yeah, what i was saying above. i'm sure portland's trying to move sharpe and that pick, but teams know they're desperate to do it and are trying to squeeze them. could take until the moment of the pick before the offers get real.

riley's probably back stage trying to muck up those offers somehow lol...

The Hawks-Mavs rumors interest me. There's conflicting info on who countered, but there was a call about Collins and the counter was Capela. Based on how much they hate him and have shopped him for 4 years, I'm guessing the Hawks called offering Collins and the Mavs countered. I'm getting the impression the Hawks really like Lively and see pairing him with Okongwu is the cheaper more cost efficient route.

word via stein (i think) was as you said: hawks offered collins, mavs said no, but we'll take capela. just seems like there's a few possibilities for those two teams.

Dame is gone, i wish him the best (as long as he doesn't end up in some stupid team).
Zion should get the boot form NO. Send him to Charlotte for that no.2 pick and cut your loses...

i'm wondering if zion's value is lower than that right now, though. yes, when he's on the court, he's better than the likely 2/3 pick in this draft, but he's never there, and the prospects don't look great on that end.

charlotte is near zion's home, though, so maybe they can see some value in say, moving hayward and the #2 for zion. but it's a HUGE gamble given his availability. huge.

Yeah, there was some push back after that mostly locally. Hawks trying to CYA, I think. I trust most of what Stein puts out and he especially has good connections in Dallas.

Portland, if you're trying to get Dame help you can't call the teams trying to get Dame. I imagine that was a short call.

Some of the other names being thrown around for Portland

Siakam has gotten mentioned A LOT by everyone. If they're trying for Bam or PG13, they're not serious about getting Dame help. Those aren't gettable.

Jazz trying to move up, dangling Sexton
Grizz shopping Jones, getting him somewhere he can start full time, to upgrade the wing. So they're going without a PG during Ja's suspension?
    Brooks mostly linked to Houston
    Regarding CP3 to the Clippers

lol awesome from portland. clearly a shot across the bow to miami for (very publicly) laying claim to lillard. reminds me a little of boston and AD.

    oh f*** you, man.

also lol at memphis trading jones for marcus morris. everybody knows marcus morris is dead weight the clippers are trying to dump.

Seem the safest and most productive bets is the same for the Lakers; resign Dlo, Reaves, Rui.
Grab the leftovers in the PG market: hopefully either Schroeder or Paul

and act like a predator in FA (similar to Monk, Walker) and the expiring to fill the center and wing depth.
Guys on other teams who would look bad as prime time guys would look really good on this Lakers squad which was maybe just one player away from the winning the title.
Porzingis, Kuzma, Derozan, Vucevic, etc would look awesome on the Lakers

I don't think they're going to do this, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if the Clippers traded PG13 to the Blazers for #3. They've won 1 playoff game over the last two seasons, are they really going to just hope they're healthy again this time? Scoot would be a great fit there IMO, sort of a younger Russ that is actually going to try hard every game.

They'll at the very least trade some of their medium contracts this season since salary matching in trades will get much harder for them once the new CBA rules come into effect.

It sure is. But Jordan is about to sell the team. Why not get the new owners a ticket seller and a potential all-star. Zion and Ball would be great... if they could stay on the court together.

Don't get the why from Clipps. The only reason not to let him hit FA is because they're scared we're going to get him. If he worth burning the assets over? It's different when he's a min FA, but when you're giving up your tradeable wings for him... is that the best allocation of your resources to get a 38 year old CP?

I get the value play, but color me negative for not being excited at all to add Draymond and CP3. Adding one player I have loathed for his entire career is one thing, but two in the same summer? Just a few short weeks ago, Green looked very ineffective against us. I think Paul could actually help in the regular season, on offense only, but it would be a miracle if he were available for a playoff run.

The plan is to have as many injury-prone players as possible so that the law of averages will finally win out and you'll have enough bodies to win! They can't all be injured at the same time, can they?

LOL …. maybe anything to get rid of having to play Westbrick minutes since you promised him to take a minimum one year deal?
