yeah, our very worst asset management all occurred during magic's time with us, and magic himself basically took credit for them (before they were revealed to be absolutely terrible decisions).

Magic signed Lebron and kicked off the AD acquisition . That brought us a chip. (I don't think Magic would have gave up as much, as Rob did in the AD trade) Most of the core of the chip team, were Magic signings as well.
He made some good moves too.

iirc, magic tried to give up MORE at the deadline before the summer for AD. magic was behind the zubac trade and proud of it when basically everyone saw what a bad idea it was.

oh good, we're going to mess with demar's emotions such that he beats us single-handedly two more times next year.

What more did Magic try to give up specifically? Zubac was a miss, but again we still won the chip. That trumps the Zubac thing to me, and Randle didn't want to play with Lebron in the first place.

this doesn't mean anything. it's not like muscala helped us win a title. we lost a prime asset for nothing/no reason. randle was the same. we had his bird rights; he went for mle. the kawhi chase was a bad idea the whole time, imo, and i said so before he chose to sign with the clippers. we didn't need all that space that summer.

again with this? i don't see how derozan fits with lebron and AD at all

my issue with the zubac trade more than anything is that they traded him to the clips. you just don't trade with teams in the division. not getting anything better than muscala in return is a whole different story that i won't get into. they weren't going to pay zubac that offseason anyways, so no point imagining how he could've fared on future lakers teams

randle if i recall didn't want to come back after the lebron signing. lopez is the guy they should've never let go, and he was open to coming back too. just a massive whiff by magic

Meh..a chip matters more than anything else period. To me at least it does.

Now..Rondo,KCP, Javale, Caruso, Kuz were all Magic moves too. That man deserves some credit

Julius didn't want to play with Lebron period, he's said that he was out, once Lebron was coming, numerous times.

this week at the combine was absolutely huge for the younger James. He needed to solidify himself as a real prospect leading up to next month’s NBA Draft.

    Apparently, that was the case.

“This was a positive week in Chicago for Bronny James. He’s moved into the late second round of our latest projections. We’re gonna have him at 54 in our next update. That’s all the way up from the back end of the top 100. Talking to NBA people out here, they feel like he’s legitimized himself as a real NBA prospect.”

So Marc Spears is just a hack? Only putting out the negative viewpoints?

Well, who are scout #1 and #2 and why only those two opinions when press all week elsewhere seemed pleasantly surprised? Seems a lazy small sampling if you're going to report and put it out there. Maybe so to your question?

Yeah..that's what I'm saying, does this guy have a Lebron problem or something? We are talking about a 2nd rd pick, you can buy those for cash.

It’s on Lakers Redditt . I did not see any other combine related news, otherwise I’d have posted.

OK. I'm referring to Slick's question on the questionable "2 scouts and done" reporting of Marc Spears.
