DLo gones. I would look for an overpaid player like ayton or Wiggins to see if DLo and the team.would.play ball.

You resign Spencer to be the starter with Gabe as backup.

See if you can get one more year out of Lebron with AR and Rui hopefully one more.year of growth and Vando and Wood back.

Id only move for Trae is he being moved as a salary dump. No Reaves and only protected picks.

Mitchell is the one to target but other teams have more assets

No..this guy says we make the deal if it was for the 2 years we wanted.

Murray at 25M, is definitely not some kind of out of reach deal.

How can you keep pumping all this fear, about some rumored Trae Young trade, but simultaneously, somehow think it's impossible to land Murray and Capela?

Shams never mentioned that we only wanted a 2 year deal.

maybe because that couldn't have had any real bearing on the trade? kyrie didn't sign an extension after being traded, nor did he have a no-trade clause.

bkn's asking price from us was higher than they asked from other teams. that's been confirmed by more than shams, iirc.

we weren't going to get him.

Halliburton got triple double and just won game in OT.
Before that was Middleton buzzer in regulation and another one he barely missed in OT.

Suns, Clippers, Warriors, Bulls. There should be some interesting names available this summer.

Key for us will be to not overpay or jump for a name like we did with Russ.

I do think adding a wing defender, a big and another piece will be possible. Just a question of how much we end up giving up.

I don’t think anyone is untradeable if we can improve the team. But we can’t just give guys away either.

    .

If Rob had no problem with signing Kyrie, to the same deal length, that Dallas did, he should have pulled that trigger. Austin and Max were definitely not too much. If he seriously thought that, then he miscalculated their worth IMO.

We had to get something else back in the trade anyway, because Russ made 12M or so more than Kyrie alone.

We'd have 18, heading for 19 right now, if he made that deal IMO

4&5 would be a damn decent foundation post Lebron too!!!

Should have listened to the Old man on that.

Benefits of trade for Donovan Mitchell:

    • Improved three-point shooting, scoring, and defense at the shooting guard position.
    • Third scorer, who can take over a game when needed.
    • Contract is approximately 8.4 million less than Trae Young
    • Lakers could effectively let Russell walk if they choose to and then have the $12,859,000 TPMLE and the $5,183,000 to use on free agents because they would be under the first apron.
    Possible free agents:

TPMLE: Bridges (Klutch client discount), Melton (good contract for 3 and D player, L.A. native, could be interesting backcourt w/Mitchell, even though a bit small, but they play D), Trent (Klutch client discount), Tyus Jones (solid), ONeale (maybe a little rich for him, but he is 3 and D), Hartenstein (probably cant afford him), Veleniuscius or Theis (not crazy about twin towers for a lot of minutes, but if they want size this could be a viable option).

BAE: Burks, Dunn, Drummond, Plumlee, Nwora, Boban, etc.

Except Mitchell is for all intents and purposes … really great “pipe”, no?

IDK man, I heard some Cavs fans liking the Reaves/Rui combo. Anyway, even if we stand pat, we are still not that far off from getting under the second apron, and utilizing the NTP MLE, and let Russell walk. So, we are not in that bad of shape. We so something like replace Dlo with Melton. Basically a 3 and D Avery Bradley type at the 1. Lebron and Reaves would share the ball-handling duties.

Sounds like similar territory. Starting PG might walk for nothing, but this time, we have 5 tradable contracts, instead of 3.

Booker, Bill and Durant will earn $ 150 million in the next season. Their total salary exceeds the payment of 14 NBA teams

Devin Booker, Bradley Beale and Kevin Durant will receive $ 150 million for the 24/25 season.

The total salary of the star trio of Phoenix Suns exceeds the payroll of 14 NBA teams

Suns will enter the 2024 off-season with a payroll of 206 million. This is the largest payment in the NBA.

GSW were lucky to get championships.Looks like Phoenix just joined Balmer and Clippers in paying over salary cup penalty

Winning multiple chips isn't luck.GS got their money's worth. KD being insecure asf killed that dynasty. They still got another title.

The Clippers just bet on the wrong horse. Phoenix did too with Beal. It's not the concept, it's the players involved.
