Murray and Jokic can't guard anybody either, if you don't make them work on D, you are going to have a problem.

They would have still had Reaves, DS and Rui who all had better playoff runs then Vando and DLo last year. Irving is Dlo on steroids I think Dallas gets him regardless so this mute but last years team but you wouldn't get into this non scoring droughts that Denver punishes you with Irving.

problem for me is that other than the inevitable coaching change, i'm not sure what to do. this roster should have performed better, and i don't think changing out the parts is going to do much. having vando and vincent might have helped us win a few more games, and that might have been huge, as we may have avoided the play-in.

but man, we were supposed to have depth. i don't have any great ideas going forward.

I don't know I think the Lakers have found a very good starting lineup (thanks Ham as this was the same lineup from last year): the core of AD/Lebron/AR/DLo/Rui/Vando are all very good. Dinwiddie hopefully can be resigned. The one hole is one more 2 way guy: ala KCP or Gordon type. That's the difference between winning and losing against Denver right now: they go 5 out on 2 way threats and exploit your weakest guy and sag off if you put in a Reddish.

DFS to replace Prince and this will be a very tough team till Lebron's wheels eventually fall off. Jeremi Grant maybe overrated but man on this team instead of PRince and you are cooking iMO

Denver is the title team and the Lakers were the last team to beat a healthy Denver!

I’d like to run it back with the core, replace Hayes/Wood with better rebounding and defensive bigs, and get a point of attack defender at PG. I honestly think our bench depth injuries doomed us in a rare injury free Lebron/AD season to this point. Wouldn’t hurt my feelings to see Ham replaced, but don’t see that happening.

I think we probably have to if we want to win a title. I just think there will definitely be upset fans if we end up with some of the names out there.

Same for me. Personally I’m much more into a coaching overhaul vs a roster overhaul. I like the players we have and would just like some minor personnel tweaks at the weak spots. I think a good NBA coach could take what we have much further than this one has.

I will definitely be upset if it’s Trae.
I would be really happy with Mitchell, but his contract isn’t up and our offer would probably be beat by at least three other teams if he were to become available.

I think we would have made it to the Finals with this team run by a real coach and a better POA guard.

yeah, that was my point--but as we discussed recently...who's the coach upgrade? do you trust the FO to find that guy? it's been a weakness.

Can they find anyone worse than Ham? I don’t trust them, but you gotta try. You have to if your Franchise player has completely tuned him out.

yeah, but do you pick lebron's guy? that's dangerous, too, imo. don't know; don't have a ton of hope at this moment. we should have been better this year.

I’ll take my chances. I really don’t like Ham and how he threw this season away with a healthy AD and Lebron. We’ve had horrible rotations, ruined chemistry, poor defensive schemes and no real discernible offensive strategy. He lost the locker room as far as I can see and needs to be replaced. If he doesn’t get us out of the playin I think the FO will see it the same way.

why wouldn't nets ask for AR? remember theres the laker tax from every team when dealing with trades and you could argue Vando/Dlo played a big part in beating gsw in that series, so Irving could have replaced both those guys impact?
