Ahh I see what you mean. But even if we had picked him up on a mini mid level he got that doubled with Sac and had also a strong collegiate history with Monk?

Yeah, it would have been a one-year rental for sure. But really all the 2020-2021 team needed was a little more scoring/shooting on the perimeter. If we just ran the same team back in 2021-2022 and added Monk and Reaves like we did in reality I think we go to the Finals.

Of course with AD and LeBron health required. Shirley a better shot with that roster than with Russ bricking and brain farting always threatening to derail games, and the crap roster we wound up with after the signing.

losing West because part of the family was dating the f***ing head coach still remains insane. Yeah Phil Jackson is the greatest coach of all time but come on there are reasons that CEO of Fortune 500 companies get fired for sleeping with subordinates.

This remains an underrated problem of the post-Jerry Buss era - West outside of the Magic/moncrief has been one of the best executives in sports let alone basketball. I just don't see just completely head scratching moves like Zubac, Lopez, JHS pick (yeah I said it) happening if West was still in the Lakers orbit

Jerry said some bad things too, but he's still a Laker legend. It's ironic that he and Elgin ended up as longtime Flippers Executives

I blame Kareem here …. usually of sound mind with his observations, but also in love with ESPN Top 10 each night ….. “poisoned the well" on undoubtedly the next Lakers scouting department win. ;)

What actually happened, did he land any blows to the head or they just "wrassled" around some? And what precluded it? Being lazy here .... wasn't this before a game?

Oakley and Artest would have been banned for life in this modern NBA.

Maurice Lucas would be in prison.

I say trade every 1st round pick from now on, take away whimsy from our drafting… imagine taking diet and a good interview over shooting and athleticism :Deathstare:

i think stewart's got issues like artest and draymond. they should have come down a little harder, imo. i get that it's emotional out there, but very few guys do what this guy does.

Did he actually hit him in the face or what, and what was he pissed off about that this happened “before” a game.

sorry--my point was that i don't actually care about the details. how often do we have such altercations? how many times have escalated incidents involved stewart? even if this guy did something horrible to him, it's now part of a pattern of troubling behavior for stewart, right?
