We are going to regret trading for Murray. He strikes me as dumb. I am rarely wrong on these things   Pimple.

I don't really like this "well we need to trade for a wing/POA defender now because Vando is out" thing. That makes sense if you know this team is a legit contender when that role is filled, but I can't say that about this team. If it's Vincent, whatever. It sucks because he never really got a shot with us, but anything you can get for him right now is gravy. I'm not confident in anyone being a significant contributor within the same season they get significant knee surgery.

I'll be disappointed if we move Rui for DFS and/or O'Neal. I'm probably too high on Rui because I just like him, but I still think there's untapped potential there. He hasn't popped when he has been on the court, but I think the coaching staff has really failed him. I wouldn't feel good about giving up a young player for a role players who are fine, but already aren't as good as they used to be. Especially if its still very much an open question whether this team could win one playoff series, let alone multiple.

That's the thing, it's so tough to tell what this team is. I do think if Bron and AD are this healthy in April and May, I refuse to rule us out of anything because no team other than Denver will have one player as good as either of them.

I think you have to do whatever not desperate move you can to give those two the best shot regardless of seed. At least show appreciation for that commitment or you won't get it from them again.

I agree regarding Rui for that package, that's why for me it would have to be in addition to a Murray deal or some kind of DS deal. I agree we have not best utilized Rui. Ham won't. Willingness to move him depends on how long we're stuck with Ham, Rob knows the answer to that better than I do. If it's longer than this summer, move Rui today before we flush his value.

Suns offer Josh Okogie, Nassir Little and two second-round picks for Miles Bridges

Phoenix's offer to Charlotte for Miles Bridges has become known.

According to an insider, Yahoo! Sports, the Suns are willing to trade Josh Okogie , Nassir Little and two second-round picks.

It is noted that the Hornets want to get a first-round pick for Bridges , so the parties cannot reach an agreement.

    More from Stein...

This is significant, they're competing against us in looking for perimeter defense (even if they're looking at different guys) . Until now it had been a question of if they'd include Portis in trade packages. No one seemed sure -- namely Haynes, Stein, and Fischer. They are scarce of assets and trade capital but have been noted to be on of the more aggressive teams trying to fill that need.

Another significant note: Brogdon doesn't want to leave Portland

And we're (still) strongly considering keeping our tradeable draft pick past the deadline

I don't understand guys who don't want to win. I suck at basketball but I love to play and will set screens/rebound/defend and do all the thing that I can do to help my team win even if it's just a weekend pickup game.

Really frustrating how many guys in the league are just doing it for the paycheck. Love him or hate him but dudes like Lebron are going to go after titles.

I feel like this is flying under the radar and could be the most significant deadline deal if they manage to reach an agreement. Bridges is both (1) a piece of s*** and (2) a good basketball player. It would be a meaningful improvement for the Suns.

they'll probably get him for seconds. hornets are bluffing by suggesting they'll use bridges in a s&t that nets them something better, i think.

Vando being re-assessed in 3-4 weeks for a mid-foot sprain?!?! That is way more positive than I anticipated.

Maybe it's just to gain some leverage back before the deadline.
I imagine teams were using to fleece us a little bit more and capitalize on our win-now position with LeBron

Is Haywood any good when he does play? He's been hurt so often and for so long I don't think I've actually noticed what he looks like.

Only reason I'm asking is that he's another possible buyout dude.

Haywood would be pretty good pick up at buy out price and we have money for that after sacrificing our exception on Deadcent
