i think bridges is the least likely guy to move there. people were too quick to anoint him a star last year after that trade, but he's still a 20/5/4 guy who's one of the league's best defenders (albeit it appears as his usage on offense goes up, his defense suffers). i basically don't trade that guy unless you're giving me a legit star, and not an old one.

their real issue is that ben simmons didn't work out and got hurt again. i guess we could bail them out of the DFS contract, but then it's ours. he's 30 and likely to be trending down, even if he'd be an upgrade on our current wings. him for rui could be something you'd regret later, for example.

    DFS/dinwiddie/sharpe
    for
    rui/dlo/hayes

works, but isn't it just shuffling deck chairs? you'd have to really believe that dlo is a cause of major chemistry issues to make such a move.

The Nets lost at home to the Bucks, 122-144. Nic Claxton, Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and Cam Johnson did not play. The Nets didn't play three more players after the first quarter: Mikal Bridges, Cam Thomas and Royce O'Neale.

Austin would love that but they've said he's not being moved

D'Angelo has been disappointing this season. He was sucking before he got benched, and didn't improve much after getting benched. The Lebron/D'Angelo on court chemistry,, has been pretty much non existent all season. It's hard to say what is exactly going on there but, James has been barking and shaking his head at D'Angelo a whole lot during these games. Lebron's D has been just as bad or worse than D'Angelo's IMO,but he can score at a higher clip on a consistent basis, until recently that is.

I don't know who's this guy , but looks promising

Ishaan Bhattacharya of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Lakers, Hawks and Miami Heat:

Atlanta Hawks Receive: Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Nikola Jovic, 2028 First-Round Pick (MIA), 2029 First-Round Pick (LAL), 2030 First-Round Pick (MIA)

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Dejounte Murray, Bogdan Bogdanovic

    Miami Heat Receive: Trae Young

The Lakers are interested in acquiring Murray from the Hawks. Murray, LeBron James and Anthony Davis have the same agent (Rich Paul of Klutch Sports).

They might be more consistent scoring every night. Gotta love two 6'5 shooting guards, shooting at a 38% clip from 3 on high volume. They play the same position as Reaves though, and would any of the 3 be as good on D, as Reddish or Vanderbilt on the perimeter? If not we will still have to play one of them or Prince. That makes the playing time at 2 pretty tight. Is Murray a better PG option than Austin?

So the Hawks go into a full rebuild and we get Murray and Bogdan for DLo, Rui and a 2029 FRP? That's pretty far-fetched.

why does atlanta clear the decks without clearing the books here?

and young probably sells tickets, which is important there.

I am not sold on Murray as a shooter. If we get him, it would definitely have to be him attached to a shooter, like Bogdan.

    Lakers/Bulls

Lakers get: LaVine, White, Drummond, Phillips

Bulls get: Russell, Hahimura, Vincent, Prince, JHS, and Wood

No picks needed from either side. Bulls incentivize Lakers with White, who is already an established 3-point shooter, but this season is looking like a legit NBA-starter and is on a cost-controlled contract for three seasons. Lakers improve three-point shooting enough, and upgrade back up center to justify taking on LaVine's deal.

second bogdan gets here, -10%. i'll take the guy who has been a very good defender (until recently) and plays a position of need (assuming dlo goes out).

wonder what the bulls are looking for. is just unloading lavine good enough? is white suddenly a part of their future now that he's broken out a bit?

we can't give up dlo and gabe without a pg coming back, though.

and i still don't like the idea of lavine. it's a move backwards to less flexibility.

Yes thinking the same thing about Young. Sure plenty of people go to NBA games to see the Lebrons, Lukas, Embiids when the stars visit, but I think it can be draining for a franchise to literally have nobody to cheer for as a franchise player. Sure Young won't be enough to win things, but he can put up stats, highlights and be competitive on any given night, and I think this is fundamental to a team's survival. I do remember how popular we were when playing away games in Atlanta (particularly with Kobe on the team). Atlanta was like an unofficial home game for us sometimes.

White is a point guard. I mean, kind of the ideal point guard to play with Lebron and Reaves. He is averaging 4.8 assists per game and 2 turnovers. White seems like more of a guy you could throw in there as a 30 + minute starting point guard, then Caruso does. White is also much younger.

The Lakers should blow it up and trade Lebron and AD if it was only about basketball but we knows it's about more than that.

Even still, what team would be able to send out enough contracts for a player making almost 50 million and still have enough to compete? not to mention he can opt out at the end of the season.. Lebron is untradeable. AD can get a haul in the off-season though.. Should trade him and hope Lebron opts out. This team needs a rebuild after this year.

A rebuild back to the pre Lebron "Young Core" experiment days? No thanks , if it ain't Giannis, Tatum, Embiid, Joker or Luka coming back, I'm not interested in trading AD.

phillly's entire roster save embiid are FAs this summer. they could trade us harris and the picks the clips gave them for harden (lol, nice, right?).

i know it's not happening, but it would prevent a boston title, probably give lebron another one, and we get something instead of nothing when lebron leaves.

we're in 10th place nearing the midway point in the season. i see one team we can catch (houston) and one that can catch us (gs). it sucks. i'd rather move lebron than give up the next five years for another westbrook fiasco.

again, i realize it's about the money for lebron--and maybe for us--and that's probably ok. just don't make a dumb panic trade when we're so far from contending.
