That's a tough call,it makes a lot of sense, if Rui and D'Angelo aren't playing well, but if they are, I don't think OG is worth all that.

anything not nailed down? ideally not reaves, as murray/reaves is the backcourt i want with AD/lebron/sf or c.

murray can't be moved until january 9th.

i just don't see how we'd be able to pony up the value, tbh. we don't have what the hawks would want. they should be looking to aggregate for another star, not ship out their second-best (best?) player for secondary pieces and picks.

i actually think we'd have a better shot trading for young maybe. not that i want young, but murray's on a team-friendly deal that runs through his prime, whereas young's on a supermax that is an overpay.

the hawks don't really have any bad contracts (i guess maybe deandre hunter?), so it's hard to sweeten the pot by eating something like that.

rui and dlo being non-expiring also hampers deals involving financial flexibility for the other teams.

tl;dr: i don't expect us to have any shot at young, appropriately-paid players in trades. IF we make any big move, it's likely to be a zach lavine, kyrie irving (expensive, unreliable, longer-term deal) type move.

Agree. Atlanta gave up 3 first-round picks for Murray. I'd be hard pressed to believe they would give him up so easily.

Although, a few things; he's with Klutch, Atlanta doesn't have the best management IMO, and there's always a potential for a third team to get involved and help facilitate a deal.

    We shall see...

if utah's really considering moving markannen, atlanta should be buyers. if we had a couple more picks, i'd say mayyyybe we could get murray routed through utah, but someone will outbid us for sure, even with the klutch pressure.

Agree. At the very least, I like that we're targeting this "kind" of player.

Murray I think is more of an offseason move where we could give up more picks. Doubt they'd be interested in Dlo/Rui and 1 first by the deadline. Reaves would be sought by Atlanta ... Don't know how much value JHS and Christie have.

Like the others have said, I’d be willing to give up a good bit. If we could end up with him and Reaves I’d be content.

Murray is a long shot but it’s interesting to think about.

I do think it’s a sign that teams are getting real about where they are and are starting to put feelers out there. Hawks could miss the play in this year. They might be thinking of hitting the reset button. We will see.

Either way, rumors like this are just going to pick up from here.

Atlanta hitting the reset button is redundant. They are always doing that. Atlanta would have to do the Lakers a solid for Murray. Don't know how or why. But Murray would help.

JHS would be a good fit in the backcourt with Young, because he has size, and is a good defender.

Same. Everyone would be available except for AD, LeBron and Austin.

I think Murray would be obtainable but you would have give up picks/trade swaps and eat another bad contract.
Bogdanovic and Hunter both have 4 years deals for example. Bogdanovic is playing well but Hunter is constantly hurt

    Reaves aint' going anywhere

Murray could allow for Reaves to come off of the bench because his strengths help with some of Austin's weaknesses. For example, Reaves wouldn't have to deal with the quick guards or tough wing defensive assignments as much. Also, Reaves wouldn't have to handle as much, but Murray isn't ball dominant either. Close to ideal scenario for Reaves to be a secondary ball handler, where he is better utilized. That back could get bullied by stronger guards though, sinch they are both slight in frame. Also, there would have to be a shooter at the three, no more Reddish or Vanderbilt. Sure, Prince is good, but ideally a high volume three-point shooter would be in that slot. Bogdan would be great.
