yeah, i'm sort of ambivalent about wemby. he's really talented and interesting to watch, but he's not doing himself favors in the PR department by nutmegging dudes and slowing down the break to dunk on smaller players.

i also think it's sorta s***ty that the spurs once again luck into a generational talent. that's two out of the three in the past 25 years. i realize it's not a conspiracy or anything, but man, throw charlotte a bone.

The kid is not unlikeable. I don’t find the Spurs unlikeable. I’m amused by the crotchety Popovich. Meh, no hate here. If they are a better team, they’ll beat us.

He's actually very low key. Super mature and loves the game.

Generally, I don't get why people hate random people and teams. But each one decides how to live their life

It's in the NBA that nobody plays defense, not in France. Nobody called him the goat. Yes you're a hater

You're actually worse than a hater. You wished another person to get physically hurt. A person who never contacted with you. You are just a really horrible person with a lot of unsolved issues

I agree, Charlotte can't catch a break. That is a great part of the country, would love to see them get a great talent, then I will be able to go to games there after we move!

I don't mind that the Spurs seem to have gotten another all-time talent. I want to see the super talented guys succeed solely for my enjoyment of the league. That's why the Zion thing was/is such a bummer; he was supposed to be the next mega star and face of the league. I don't like seeing all-time talent get stuck with incompetent franchises. I'd be more excited about Charlotte getting a generational talent if they weren't the type of organization that constantly gave out horrible contracts or didn't trade their star player before his contract expired because they wanted him to play in the hometown All-Star game.

The Frenchman is extremely gifted...can his body withstand an 82 game NBA season? TBD.

maybe off the court, but his antics are going to draw ire if he keeps it up. that stuff in the preseason was bush league, imo. if you're actually the GOAT, you don't need to rub in a breakaway dunk in the preseason. that was poor form; not classy. if you want to showboat/entertain the fans, then do a windmill or something. but waiting for a 6'3" guy to get close enough to you so that you can dunk "on" them is super lame, and i can't believe he hasn't been roasted for it.

yeah, i live an hour from there and haven't caught a game in years.

i wonder how competent the spurs would look if they hadn't lucked into duncan in the first place. i wonder how good charlotte's rep would be if they had duncan instead of having to pretend kemba and gordon hayward were franchise players.

Philly has to trade Harden sooner than later. He can't be extended and he's unrestricted next summer no matter where he goes. It's not like Philadelphia really has all this great leverage, in this situation.

they have *some* leverage. harden opting in means that he read the market and saw he wasn't getting offers above his current salary.

i'm not sure the teams currently projected to have space will be eager to bring him on, so his best bet is to get traded to a capped out team that will be held hostage by his bird rights. it behooves him to have an open mind about who that might be, though, as the clippers-or-bust route is unlikely to work.

I don't think the money is as important to him, as landing where he wants to go is. Harden has turned down more money in Houston, and in Philadelphia. I don't think he's one of those guys just hunting for Max dollar's.
