Adam Silver has been on a steady slide downhill since the 2020 fiasco. He was really great before then and now he has sold out in so many ways to the noise around him.

He needs to go sit with Dana White and learn how to use his natural instincts sometimes instead of trying to make everyone happy.

ok, so they're using timing as the proxy...not sure if it's the best way.

also interesting that dumars said they feel they DO have evidence that back to backs are bad. i could get behind pretty strict rules against "rest" if the league committed to creating a schedule that made injuries less likely by doing things like completely eliminating back to backs.

Dude needs to be banned from the league. He was given a second chance after beating this s*** of his much smaller girlfriend and this is what he does. Loose cannon

imagine telling your friends and family late in your life that all you had to do was <checks notes>...not...throw...pool balls...at a car containing your estranged gf and children, and you'd all be rich right now.

What did he do …. use his big meat hook basketball hands to carry a “clip’s” worth of pool ball ammo outside to do that. Jack*** Enjoy ball overseas.

We look healthy and ready to rock and roll to me. Let's make it through these next 3 preseason games injury free, and bring it on!

they handled the whole situation, start to finish, terribly. honestly, had lillard fired him midstream, his rep would be better right now (at least with me).

And he let his current girlfriend beat up the car as well.

Wouldn't it have been more financially responsible (we'll set morals aside for a minute) to use this second chance and go to anger management and get in therapy vs blow the chance at hundreds of millions of dollars?

In a domestic violence situation, they shouldn't have been allowed to do a custody exchange in person, in the first place. That still isn't any excuse, for this dude to be acting like a deranged lunatic. I try hard to see things from both sides of a situation, but damn, this kid is a f***ing idiot.

Umm these guy's level of wealth is just at another level than most - he can easily a hire a go between that looks like Mr Bubbles from Lilo and Stitch to get the kid from his ex. WTF are his agents doing in all of this?

i think it's hard to imagine, but domestic issues are the same whether you're rich or poor. this stuff is bigger to the people involved than money. i'm obviously not excusing his behavior (it's incredibly bad regardless of financial context), just saying there's a reason domestic situations are among the most dangerous police calls, etc. this is THE most important thing to the people involved at that moment. again, how that translates to hurling billiard balls at your children's automobile...i don't know. but the fury and level of investment that causes it are real.

anyway, peace out, miles. hornets need to move on from like, everything and everyone.

There's a lot here. Needless to say, this is completely on him being an awful human being.

But I will admit that I don't get why there wasn't a go between here or at the very least, supervised handoffs at a neutral location. That's not uncommon in these situations and its clear he doesn't need to be anywhere near her.

    Oh well, so long Miles.

Yes, this all sounds like it would have been very preventable. Now he has likely screwed up his entire career. At least for a number of years.

wouldn't be surprised if he's blacklisted. not a good look for the league to allow him to play after the first incident as it is, but after this? terrible

maybe he can get a statue in china eventually like stephon marbury did

Attempted damage control with the fan base. 0% chance he's committed to any team, even in his head, until the end of his career.

i hate that i'm the new harden defender, but technically, he's probably not lying. retiring a sixer was how he would get the most money. i think he fully expected a max or near-max offer this summer if he opted out, but he realized it wasn't coming, so the paycut he took last year was a mistake.
