    Pass!

Jrue is 33 and looking for All Star money.

Is he really that much more impactful than Dlo, our next few first round draft picks, plus enough other players to equal Jrue’s current contract? I say no.

Trading all that for him might just undo all the flexibility Rob just built for the near future.

Wait …. once it’s out there Dame wants to be traded but only to Heat, and Heat won’t come up with satisfactory deal for Blazers, so they start looking at what other deals they might make instead …. how is that tampering on Bucks part? If anything, seems to me like it looks like the Heat maybe had tampered instead and then didn’t act in good faith with a decent offer?

Jrue is really good: he's so good that I'm not sure the Bucks will be that much better with a talent like Lillards.
Lillard was 2 in raptor and rapm among PGs last year: he's really good!.
Jrue was 7th and 8th in the same metric - he's not as impactful as lillard but he's also definitely a top tier PG who won't be played off the floor.

Russell was 44th and 11th in comparison and we all saw how he is played in the playoffs vs a proven player in Holiday who took out Booker mano mano in the FInals just 2 years ago.

Jrue and Reaves backcourt would be absolutely sensational IMO.

i don't think we can really move for him anyway because most of our salary was signed this summer. and that's ok.

he is the kind of player that were he to come available later in the year and we were struggling, we could actually get.

i'm curious to see who ponies up for him. he's a difference maker, but he's not young and probably wants an extension. seems like a high character guy. i'd love to get him and, as i think jsm said, do not want the clippers to get him.

if i were dallas, i'd offer a serious package for jrue. hardaway/holmes/josh green (who i think is going to be good)/1st.

I really want Jrue. Top tier defender at a position we badly need, guard. He's the guy who could get us over IMO. Hopefully he's still there in December when we can make a move for him. I love Rui but I'd do a DLO Rui 2029 first trade in a heartbeat to get him. Jrue goes on the likes of Murray, Beal in the postseason. We could truly use what he brings.

Other things: he works as a great vet mentor for our young uns: Reaves and Christie. He extends Lebron's career. He has familiarity with AD from the Pelicans. He has championship pedigree. He's a Bruin and hometown LA guy.

jrue would be an awesome add just for his defense alone. i think he ends up in miami or philly though

More impactful than Dlo, the guy we couldn't even play for much of the postseason because of his lack of defense? Yes. MUCH MUCH MORE.

PDX doesn't want Harden and his drama after all this Damian Lillard biz. Would be kind of poetic justice if he does end up in Miami, but still we need to get him if we can.

Jrue's wheels will probably fall off in a year or two but man before them: Holiday/Reaves is maybe the best 2 way backcourt in the league
Beal/Booker - Jrue clamped down on Booker and are we sure Beal is better than Reaves?
Mitchell/Garland - I love Garland but that duo has defensive problems
Curry/Thompson - maybe just because of Curry but Jrue and Reaves are better than Thompson
    Shai/Giddy - maybe but that's a young backcourt
Brown/White - Brown can't dribble and I refuse to believe Derrick White is better than either Jrue/Reeves
Morant/Bane - Lakers just beat them with DLo having a good game every other game

This a championship level backcourt even if you don't have AD/Lebron in the frontcourt!

If they get Jrue instead and maybe save a pick? Not horrible, IMO, but obviously hypothetical.

This 1000%. If it didn't crush our core, I'd take Jrue even for a season. This may be our last real shot with LBJ, and someone like Jrue makes us the best team in the league if it doesn't gut our real depth.

It's an OK deal for the Bucks. Yes, they got Dame, but they seriously reduced their defensive ability, which might cost them in the playoffs. It's hard to tell. But, they should be an exciting team to watch.

The Suns got some depth... good for them. It's not stellar, Jusuf might struggle to stay healthy, but this will do.

The Blazers... meh, I don't like it that much for them, since it does not look like a re-build. But they got some flexibility here, maybe it's not over yet?

portland didn't want herro before, so it's a similar situation where miami would have to re-route him again for what portland wants. guess it could happen, but i'm also wondering if portland doesn't feel like helping miami at all right now. i wouldn't be if i were them.

anyway, i think people are underrating how big of a win it was for portland to simply not have to fold to riley. promise that guy was shocked.

if we want to throw everything at it before Lebron retires, we should definitely go for Jrue. He's a big difference-maker in defense and a solid 3rd scoring option.

I agree Dlo + Rui + pick sounds like it could work.
