Reaves is a better player than Hield and the Lakers already got a center who can shoot 3s in Wood.

I was a big fan of a Hield/Turner move last year but seems kind of redundant now. Looking at matchups with Jokic around Turner is probably more useful than Hield

    tim hardaway jr.

supposedly, a social media account alleged to be a hield burner has been quite high on him going to dallas. i think he lives there maybe?

thj has one more year on his contract at a declining salary, and he makes the same amount as hield right now.

guessing indy didn't want to add many years to hield's deal, so getting thj to fill a similar role (veteran wing scorer who plays questionable defense) makes sense.

i think dallas only considers if buddy agrees to discuss future contract over the summer. that way, it if goes south, he can just walk and they gain flexibility.

i don't think hield will have much value on the trade market.

i don't know if it's supposed to be a dig, but rob was kind of an innovator when it came to cozying up to an agency to the degree he did. and he's caught a lot of heat for it. but he's got a ring and a conference finals appearance, and the knicks admire it so much they've tried it with CAA.

we've had to deal with some of the bad side of having an agency involved with stuff (russ), but it's been mostly good. and it's in our interest to help klutch grow their brand and maintain their relationship with us.

Yeah dig at Rob’s relationship with Klutch or not, the gist of the post is right on point. I’ve been wowed this summer by the job he’s done keeping the important pieces from last year's outstanding post deadline run all the way to the WCF, and then adding on/filling in the missing pieces all on reasonable contracts. It’s a versatile and deep team with plenty of youth and some solid vet presence too. No one too long in the tooth. Lots of guys with things to prove and hunger to get a championship alongside Lebron and AD. Easy to root for unlike the team we started with last year.

milwaukee could trade connaughton and allen for hield, but i think that's moving backwards unless they want off pat's deal.

    tucker/korkmaz/house for hield works.

still think thj straight up for hield could make some sense.

but again, the reason for the trade request would scare me off as a suitor. he wants cash, and he's heading into his decline.

Been a lot of smoke online today about the Dame trade gaining a lot of traction.

Suns reporter Gambo (who is relatively legit, he was the first to break Nash to LA) says he expects a trade within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile earlier this week new Twitter insider droppingdimes claimed that an Ayton for Nurkic swap to help facilitate the Dame trade is close (which would explain why Suns reporters have inside info here)

GSW declined the option of signing an agreement with center Dwight Howard , The Athletic insider Shams Charania reports.

According to the journalist, the Warriors want to maintain flexibility in possible decision-making and will return to the question of a backup big man later: during training camp or after the start of the season.

Charania notes that Howard will still try to return to the League in the coming week and will begin negotiations with other NBA teams

Wut? So the decision for Warriors taking on Dwight was left to the next step, a workout for Green and CP3 and they confirmed he's got nothing left?

Does seem like something with Dame is going to happen soon, Lowe talked about it on his podcast too. Sounds good to me, tired of hearing about him.

If Green didn't like it they don't care what their new manager thinks.

Damn that's rough. Would've been better off if he didn't even take that workout. Failing the audition with the players will only hurt the slim chance he had at even making it back anywhere.
