He's a better player right now than D'Angelo and Malik will ever be IMO. Bring him on to LA, put him around some more mature people. That level of talent is special.

I'm old enough to remember folks saying similar stuff about Jordan, when he came into the League. That high flying act was going to lead to a short career, he's going to bite his tongue off, all kinds of nonsense. He played in a much more physical NBA to boot.

This social media stuff is overblown IMO. The kid hasn't threatened anyone with a weapon. People try to hype this incident with the kid at his house. While overlooking this kid threatening to come back, and light his house up. That is Memphis, as I pointed out. I'll withhold judgment until I get all the facts. Gilbert and Javaris actually brought hot burners into a team facility, and threatened to use them on each other, totally different situation, but Morant keeps getting lumped in with them. We shall see what's what soon.

 

Artest wasn't even in the same league as a player. Morant is Hall of Fame bound. Allen Iverson is a better comparison . You'd probably be shocked at how many players run around packing on a daily basis. His immaturity with this Social Media posturing is his problem to me. It's going to cost him a ton of cash, but that kid is no gangster. He might have a thug or two in his circle though. Pops needs to step up on that subject IMO.

 

BS to your opinion of Ron Artest both sides of the ball in his prime, and ignoring everything else being said about Ja’s risk of turning out like Rose/ nowhere near the defensive force that Ron was.
