Wow, I thought he might get a job somewhere but didn't think it would be Phoenix. Not sure about the fit there, but I'll be impressed if he can make that team a defensive team.

Good for Frank. He deserved another crack at this on a high level team. Good luck juggling the minutes for their top guys unless they hit the vet min jackpot because that depth is frightening bad and it really became evident in the playoffs.

D is all they will practice. If they're smart, they will listen to Frank and be dangerous. Why couldn't they hire Doc or Lue :(

Ten minutes before the Vogel hiring was announced.

Doc got word before the press release. Trying to save (that ugly a**) face.

Always thought Vogel would be best with a contending team instead of a rebuilding one. Not sure they have the defensive players to play his style of defense though... maybe the Suns try for an Ayton/Turner swap since Indy was the team that offered Ayton his current contracct.

Ayton is a mental midget and Paul is a liability being an ancient dirtbag. Durant would be ok but don't know about Booker. They don't have a bench.

Still better than Bamba or TT. He'll set screens, rebound, box out and finish an oop from time to time. Would sign if everything else fails.

WHATEVER happens …. Frank landed another high level gig where they just fired a good coach who then turned that into another gig at way more money. Like $80M. Another coach scapegoated. Frank gets 5 years at $61M …. Slick with all his hate and to excuse Russ’s absolute trash 1st year with us …. 0. Scoreboard Vogel.

Vogel is like the reverse D’Antoni; he wants to play a certain way and is very good at coaching his team to do so, but he’s not good at tailoring his approach to his roster. Vogel was given a s***ty roster in 2021-2022 and was unfairly treated as a lame duck, but he didn’t do himself any favors either. The offensive scheme and lineups were awful that whole year outside of the s*** roster.

vogel's biggest downfall was playing those ridiculous small ball lineups and his insistence on playing avery bradley. whether or not the small ball stuff came directly from the FO, who knows? but aside from those couple things, he was a much better coach than ham has been
