lol ok. those are polite versions of "both teams played hard", imo.

which vet might be a mentor? all the vets.

what's different? spacing and speed (answered that twice when it was clear the audience was seeking something else).

it's the tone, too; just no emotions or expressions, really. kawhi-ish.

relatedly, it's ok; you don't have to be a good interview to be a good player (kawhi's an awful interview). i've just never watched an interview with jhs that made me want to watch a future one.

edit: and tim duncan was always a bad interview despite being pretty hilarious in real life, i think. again, he just gave them nothingburgers.

You’d prefer he make s*** up if he didn’t have exactly what you think they were looking for? Still don’t agree with your assessment or especially that it was hilariously bad. Over the top IMO.

this is a strange hill to die on. i'm not sure why it's so offensive that jhs interviews are incredibly boring and uninformative. but they are.

Usually we agree on most everything and you’re logical and a semi-nice dude on line. :giggle: :)

lol, i was just surprised you cared about the assessment. it's completely unimportant.

had i said something like "his jumper's ugly and there's no way he'll ever fix it" and you had a similar reaction, i'd have understood.

Well you’ve been a hater :D ;) ever since summer league on his NBA potential and now you’re killing the guy over a perfectly fine interview. If they had asked him today after their first scrimmages and seeing what’s involved behind the scenes in the Big Leagues plus AR and DLO talking him up and maybe even did help him some …. his answers likely might have been different?

Lot of watered down questions, as expected.

DLO's was probably the most interesting one to listen to.

Outside of that, the big takeaways are self proclaimed weight gains.

Cam says he put on 12 pounds of muscle. He looks similar to me, can't really see it. But good to hear he was getting after it.

Max says he put up 15-20 pounds, in contrast to Cam, that's extremely noticeable. He needed it if he's going to be our backup SG.

all professional sports is unimportant and just here for our entertainment

    What really matters is Jesus.

Any why they are hiding the fact that the earth isn't roundish.....

i don't recall being that down on him in summer league. he wasn't impressive, but he wasn't terrible (like his interview).
