not lavine. inferior player who's hurt just as much. i don't get it.

i've posted a couple trades i'd consider for AD, but i hope it doesn't come to that.

because lakers are apparently kryptonite for shooting.

 

So then what? Just stick a fork in us? Sell and relocate the franchise? What is your solution for this?

 

Anybody in here watch Toronto or keep up with them?

Wondering if they plan on paying Gary Trent, JR...

I would also do the Plumlee version of that deal. Not that I think Plumlee would be a great fit, but just as a compromise to get a deal done.

 

We are hated universally for this attitude, better put a smiley face next to it.

 

take on future salary and maybe picks for the trouble. we literally can't be worse. moving for objectively worse talent is fine by me, tbh. but not for AD. if we're moving AD, the opponent must bleed. because he's still VERY good and under contract. we should get back 50% or more than what we paid for him, or not move him at all.

i think plumlee's underrated and may be a more useful player this year than kelly oubre.

 

So you still like big guys that cant shoot? I know there is still a time and place for those guys in this league, but it's not exactly our greatest need right now, right? We currently have at least three bigs on our roster right now that cant shoot the three: AD, Jones and Wenyan. Bryant might be able to shoot Just too many bigs in general though. With AD in there, the other big needs to be able to shoot.

 

He just signed an extension. I think the restriction is lifted on June 23rd.

 

If the main guys are going to play this way. We'll be last place in the West. That s*** isn't on the role players.

 

i think guys who set screens and defend are valuable, and i'd pay 10 million for 20mpg of a high hoop-iq big that keeps AD at the 4 for portions of games.

people are too hung up on the three, imo. i'd lean into not being a great shooting team by beating the ever-living s*** out of the small teams that can shoot. still feel like that's how we got a ring. our bad shooters hit enough shots at the right times. meanwhile, our bruised-up opponents couldn't get and make the long shots they wanted and got nothing easy in the paint ever. i'll take it.

 

He's one of the few playable guards on a forward heavy team. They don't really have a young player that can replace his role at the moment but that could change with other moves and draft.

 

Okay cool, maybe you are right. I noticed it when I tried to trade for him om ESPN trade machine.

 

Why would Detroit trade him after just extending him for our trash?
