i think with a veteran roster, you plan on rest/injuries, so the more the merrier. especially of that quality. people act like derozan isn't still very good on offense. one of the best clutch players in the league, too.

If Derozan is willing to take that contract, you sign him and find a way to make it work. With that being said I can't see it happening.

just cause giannis won doesn't mean his team as a whole wasnt a good 3pt shooting team n lets not downplay Vogel lack of offense creativity

Super super begrudgingly yes, I think so but believe the very smartest thing to do would be to keep both of them and hope it’s how the Lakers see it. I feel he’s going to be here because Jeanie won’t back off now and everyone in the b-ball dept knows how much value he has. So add TO that in their roster building, don’t lose AC in this process.

DD for the MLE? Sign me the f up. You don’t say no to that amount of talent at that price. His fit isnt ideal but you figure all that out later.

    Sign and trade THT to
I guess I would be down with it if we sign and trade THT for Hield. Too much duplication! But other than that, I am not down with it man!

You always take the talent when available. No question. You can’t get a better player for that money than DD.

You’ve been throwing out THT in a lot of sign and trade ideas. He’s not going out for Hield or Derozan, so let’s just move on from that idea.

    I know. :Carusohearthands:

I just don't think the basketball evaluators who pull near or actual "star" type star players out of late pics will collectively say Alex is easily replaceable for what they can probably sign him for. Vogel loves him as does anyone that knows basketball, but I'll be crushed too (for basketball reasons) and for Eagle love, if they do. Terribly sad. He would truly be the last. of the original Kids.

I actually do thing financially there’s a good chance DeRozen can be had for the MLE.

Think about it from DeRozen’s perspective. There’s like 4 teams with cap space (New Orleans, Chicago, NY, and Dallas).

Are anyone of them or the Spurs willing to pay him $20 mil/season? I doubt it. New Orleans and Dallas seem to be focused on Lowry. Chicago on Lonzo. NY is a bit of the wild card but saw not a whole lot linking them with DeRozen. So that leaves the Spurs but why would they sign DeRozen? They are rebuilding.

So that just leaves DeRozen to MLE offers and the Lakers will be on top of that list.

I would rather let DS walk for nothing than give them THT just to trade DS for little in return.

People don't want to hear this for some reason. The last three NBA Champions shot 45-46 percent from the field and 35 percent from three.
