And see this is the problem with what the FO did this summer or rather didn’t do. They left the fan base high and dry. We had to move Russ or we wasted another year and threw in towel. Should have made a trade and at least given us another shot at a championship with Lebron and AD. Now most fans that I know personally have stopped watching and/or caring because it’s an unlikeable team with guys like Pat Bev and Schroder and Russ, with no chemistry or chance of making the playoffs with the roster construction.

This "mystery star" better be Giannis or Luka. Otherwise, it's not worth the trouble.

people keep saying it because it's true. if you can't move a pick until it's already made, then you're restricted to offseason trades involving just that one pick (e.g., your danny green/schroder type moves). flexibility is having the mid-sized salaries AND the future picks. people are basically asking us to be on the wrong end of the boston/nets deal from years back.

I feel we’re in a worse place than in Kobe’s last few years. There’s no exciting talented and full of potential guys like JC Randle Nance or DLo on the team to root for to make the sucking at least palatable. No spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down.

I would gladly rather trade Lebron before I trade AD.

AD is injury prone and we just have to realize he may be a guy that can only play 65 games as season. Lebron might have 2 years left in his career and is at that stage where he will miss significant time as well due to injuries, recovery time, rest, etc. So the time missed is a wash to me.

The politics will make it so that we basically never even consider trading Lebron, when we actually should.

As for the “mystery star”, I want to throw out one theory here. What if it’s a deal with Golden State?

Russ+Beverley, 2 FRPs for Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

The Warriors may find appeal to this if they think Draymond is on his last legs and doesn’t want to give him a long term extension. They may also want to free up more playing time for their younger guys, especially Poole/Wiggins/Moody/Kaminga/Wiseman. They would end up saving a ton of money from the luxury tax by dealing Klay/Draymond for expirings and picks.

I can definitely get behind this one….

Imagine if Simmons had a time machine to the 90s where he could be Dennis Rodman with pg skills. In todays nba you’re worthless if you can’t shoot.

Ben Simmons mental health is shot. All confidence is gone. As coaches on a junior level get on our players for not taking open layups. I'm sure NBA head coaches/teammates aren't so nice.

What a bunch of BS from reporters/FO. Just fix the roster. Pat Bev and Nunn need to go ASAP. Russ is fine for now until you can get a decent deal. Pat Bev and Nunn are $20 million in expiring contracts. They should net us someone that can help. They are respectively shooting like 22 and 26% from three and low 30% from 2. That’s trash. They aren’t doing enough on D to cover for that.

There is no excuse for the failure of roster construction and unwillingness on the part of the FO to do something about it. Your product is garbage. This is the Lakers. Eff the front office.

Why not both, right? :) Seriously now, can you imagine Luka and Giannis together? That's "cheat code mode" right there.

Not only are they not doing enough on D, Nunn is being hunted on that end of the court. Not 10 games into the season. Just imagine what they're going to do to him in big games late in the season in March and April(not even thinking about that distant hopeful play-in game right now)

he lacks rodman's motor. but yeah, the priority on shooting has changed the game, for better and worse.
