I say bring back most of the team. This team never developed chemistry due to too many long term injuries. We may have made too many changes to the Championship roster. I would have no problem with just finding a knockdown 3 point shooter to add to this team. Someone that can catch and shoot off the bench. This team can win it next year. I think they comeback determined to win.

Thoughts on Otto Porter Jr.? Coming off a bad season after being traded to Orlando so he should be cheap. Maybe he takes a one year deal to boost his value for a new contract after winning a title. Can play SF/PF so would be a nice Kuzma replacement if the Lakers decide to trade Kuz for some sharpshooter. 40% shooter for his career as well.

can't agree with this. I would take Tatum in a heartbeat and be glad we lifted him from the C Bags.

AS far as players go, we have had the following players on the Lakers who all came here AFTER playing for the C Bags. Not a single one of these guys are ones I regret bringing here.

Brian Shaw, Bob McAdoo, Avery Bradley, Rick Fox and Rajon Rondo.

My default is no and that’s not changing. f*** the C Bags.

But I never said I regret getting any of those guys. I will just never WANT a C bag on a Lakers team.

If they get here and wash the stink off good for them.

Look at it this way - if we manage to convince Tatum to switch colors, the C Bags would be devastated. No harm in that at all.

We aren't having this discussion right now if AD were healthy. Lakers would be playing Denver right now.

Priority 1, 2 and 3 is persevering Lebron next year so he can be in God mode for the playoffs and AD needs to be healthy all year.

Schroder, AC, THT, with all due respect can be replaced with several players in the league.

Lakers need a 3rd star if they want Lebron to Tom Brady another 2 or 3 years after next year.

Health of your stars, get a 3rd or 2 guys that can make a 3rd.

Everything else is easy after that.

Who takes these reports of who we are targeting in FA or for trades or the draft without first huge skepticism? This is internal proprietary strategic information. Rob “Shirley” isn’t talking to these guys about it and leaks I would imagine, post Magic’s big mouth, would be pursued vigorously. If a family member Jeanie should put an a** whuppin’ on them. She’s certainly shown she has the balls to be tough when needed. Has anyone anywhere heard or read a peep out of or about Jimbo since since she fired him?

I suppose other teams could leak if there are conversations, but that is very unprofessional behavior that I’d guess would be looked down on and not help anyone’s reputation?

Who knows? I did read something earlier where Rob said that he has the go ahead from Jeannie to spend wisely, the luxury tax is not a hindrance. Now what exactly does that really mean? IDK

Oh certainly I expect Jeanie will pay whatever it takes with the tax through rest of LeBron’s stay with the Lakers if her basketball evaluators in the FO tell her it makes best competitive sense.

Just running an idea off today's rumors... cause why not.

I think Indy will get better offers elsewhere. I included a familiar face to help with the shooting and then a 3rd big to eat space and is fine not playing. I'm assuming Marc goes to Spain. Trezz goes for a better gig. Dudz joins the coaching staff.

    Turner/Drumm/Len
    AD/Kief
    Bron/Ellington/McKinnie
    Wes/THT
    AC/Rose

Draft a stretch 4 and call it a day.

so schroder walks, we trade kuz/kcp/22 for turner, rose signs MLE, and drummond signs vet min to be a backup?

or is schroder s&t'd for rose with drummond taking MLE?

I’d take him as a replacement for Matthews with or without Kuzma.

In the 30 seconds I spent putting this scenario together, I had us swapping DS for Rose. They'd have to really like Dennis and Rose would really have to want that legacy ring. That puts Drumm in at the the $5.7m mid level. Don't think he'll come back for the min, but I think he's definitely back.

That puts us with hard cap hurdles, but I think if you line your dominoes up in the right order, that can be avoided.

Turner is a perfect fic to AD. As well as Olynyk, hope they target them
