I love THT and hope we keep him/develop him, but let’s hold off on the “he could basically take over for Lebron” takes.

He is no Lebron, but I'm just saying he could fill the role of someone who likes to drive to the basket and either score or kick out to an open teammate. THT is very good at that.

So you mean I have to un-dislike Dennis because he’s staying?

Other teams know Schroder is a really really good bench player.

We took a gamble on Schroder hoping he would take the next step in a starting role. He didn't come through and neither is he finding a lot of interest out there

If I were the Kings I wouldn't want Dennis either. They already have De'aaron fox and Haliburton

Have a feeling Dennis will just walk to the Knicks. They have the $ and they need a point guard.

I figured we weren’t taking s&ts, but kyler needs to get his facts right. Embarrassing lack of knowledge for someone paid to do this.

    PG WB
    SG Derozan
    SF Lebron
    PF AD
    C Gasol

    PG Carushow
    SG THT
    SF Gay
    PF Melo
    C DWight Howard

Stacked line up, but THT better improve on his range.

Now that we are starting to hear about players opting in/out of their options, and rumors of players taking pay cuts to join the Lakers. I can live with this old team and just roll the dice with it:

    - Sign DeRozen using the MLE
    - sign Rudy Gay, Carmelo Anthony, Andre Iguodala (assuming Miami declines his $15 mil team option), Shabazz Napier, Markieff, Dwight, and Javale McGee to minimums.
    - resign THT and Caruso

    depth chart:

    Westbrook/Caruso/Napier
    DeRozen/Iguodala/THT
    Lebron/Carmelo/Gay
    AD/Markieff
    Dwight/Gasol/McGee

Super old team but a lot of depth for load management

More like Knicks are the only team THAT CAN make him an offer.

Derozan cannot shoot. We have enough guys who can score in the paint...Westbrook, THT, AD, Lebron....DeRozan is not that guy to stand in the corner and take jumpshots. No to him unless it costs us nothing to get him. (He shoots 28% from catch and shoot 3s)

Gay I'm a little bit more optimistic about because he is willing to shoot and has some length. (BTW Gay has made 291/800 3s in his last 4 season in San Antonio, that's 36% 3FG and 39% from catch and shoot 3s)

If we are looking to add a SF/PF scorer off the bench, Carmelo is another good one (39.6% from catch and shoot 3s)

On the surface I agree, but if you have four dudes on the court that will require the other team to help on defense, you are going to get a TON of open looks. You're basically forcing teams to play all 4 of those guys straight up all the time.
