Well, i gotta be honest and say that I do see that. Or at least that’s how it comes across.

And don’t get me wrong, I like this forum and the posters here. I think we’ve got a good group.

Naw, he didn't. Reread his post, there is absolutely nothing saying it's a lie and he calls it an excuse. He just says the dude has always shot that shot badly so he should stop with the excuses.

Yeah. It’s like someone mentions potential problems with our roster construction, Rob’s job performance, etc and there’s multiple posts acting like those things aren’t valid.

That’s not even factoring in some of the defenses of Russ.

Got excited when I saw a Woj tweet breaking a trade with so many players … but man this has gotta be the least consequential trade involving 8+ players of all time lmao

Praying someone can somehow explain this trade to me in a way that can give me delusional hope that it’s actually a precursor to a Lakers trade :D

I was not responding to one person or a couple of posts, just the overall "dump everyone and fire everyone" responses that I have seen more and more of lately. We had a crappy year, get over it. No pain, no gain. I tell you what, we our riding out the Lebron James era because there is a LOT of money in it for us. How much are the Lakers worth now?? That is the big money and at some point, y'all may get what you want because if I was offered over 6 billion to sell the team, it would be hard NOT to take it. But I also have little doubt that IF they can hold onto it for another decade, it will be worth significantly more. At some point, the family would probably have happier lives to simply take the money and walk away. Thinking we will get a better owner is wishful thinking. Not sure we will ever have a more down to earth, honest and heartfelt owner than Jeannie. Remember, when Jerry bought this team, he and the team were on the verge of bankruptcy. She has done a dang good job to get us where we are! Maybe she has what it takes to get us over the current hump, maybe she doesn't. Considering all she and Jerry have done to for as a team and it's fans, I am 100% behind giving her that chance. If she fails, I will personally be there for her if she needs a shoulder to cry on. Rob is OK, don't love him, don't hate him. Kind of ambivalent. Magic will always have a go home free card from me, he, Kareem and Kobe are the greatest Lakers that every lived. They all have my undying support but I am still glad that Magic stepped down from the front office. He doesn't need the income and is better as a cheerleader.

Anyhow, the thing is, with sports, it is always about the long game. In the short run, we could always get a little lucky and might knock down another ring but it will take some luck. If we end out getting two rings in the Lebron era, I would say it was a success. As it is, it is a wash. One ring and a ton of income for the team. That's the NBA folks.

He hasn't been great recently, but I remember him with the Clips. Solid defender, was defending 1-3, I don't remember the jumper being that bad, IIRC.

really wanted harkless a few years ago

not sure how much he's got left at this point, but with how badly this team could use wings it wouldn't hurt

Moe or best case scenario Nwaba is cut loose from the Thunder.

That’s my thought. Not sure how good he is at this point but worth exploring if he becomes available

That’s kind of how I look at it too, but I know others don’t agree.

For all their flaws I think the Buss family at least cares about the Lakers as if it’s part of their identity as a family at this point.

If they sell the team I’d bet it would be to someone that looks at it as a money maker and makes decisions based on profit, not championships. I guarantee the two motives are not aligned one in the same.

Most of these guys are going to get dropped. Harkless and Nwaba interests me the most.
