This is it. We are desperate for someone to run the offense when Lebron sits. This is a huge saver for Lebron and his longevity. DS had his shot and he wasn’t able to do it. We needed a huge upgrade at PG more than anywhere else. Westbrook is a total all out warrior and his feistiness is going to be huge for us. Kuz is an inconsistent role player with an odd fit and played poorly the last two playoffs. Trez is a hustle guy but doesn’t pay enough detail to defense and is too small. He couldn’t even get time in these playoffs with AD hurt. KCP is the guy I’ll miss because of his D. Hopefully we keep Wes Matthews who wants to run it back.

What I like most from getting Russ is his fire. We need that from the team.

We need shooters and we need either Lebron or Westbrook to be better than they usually are at shooting otherwise teams are just going to clog the paint and dare us to shoot

The big issue that no one is addressing is the impact on the TFQ (Team Fashion Quotient).

    We are losing this:

    But we are gaining this:

It's great for the regular season.
Can't see the fit in the playoffs and when games get close, he's a liability in crunch time.

Love his fire and drive to win. Kobe said he was the guy that he saw more resemblance to him, so that counts for something.

Don't like it but will root for him like hell.
Also cool that it really shows that we don't need Schroder and he can go to China or wtv.
Losing KCP is a big blow, the ideal type of guard for this team. We really need Caruso to re-sign.

But let's see if it's confirmed, still not official.

Lakers are worth 5 billion and would sell for a hellva lot more. I know for sure I would be running it just like she is. Once you pay off your house and cars and can buy whatever you want, money is nothing more than a tool at that point.

She wants 18 up there. We all do.

That’s it. That’s why I’ve always respected and defended Jeannie. She gets it. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree in her case. She is truly her father’s daughter. Dr. Buss gave her ultimate authority for a reason. Jimbo was and remains a tool.

still having schroder in pocket for other moves is huge. and we're not cornered into getting a ballhandler anymore.

i'll say that i've been critical of the westbrook pursuit, but i've always been a big westbrook fan. so seeing him and AD and lebron (three of my favorite nba players period over the last decade) on the court will be super fun.

    i still think it's a weird/bad fit, but whatever, it's done.

i look forward to watching the team play next year for sure.

posted this pages back, oh well:

if the aug 6th date rings true about kuzma’s contract....

wouldn’t every opposing GM do what they love to do to the lakers? they’d be calling washington for a week straight to influence them to reneg on the deal right? (ala dan gilbert, gregg popp... etc)

I'm also in the "it will be super fun to watch but doubt we'll win" camp.
