    and there it is.

i'm running short on patience. it's a small move, for sure. stan isn't going to be a star. but we had a min cap hold and early bird rights on him and chose to just capitulate in negotiations.

Sigh..there is a Laker's tax and all that for sure, but we manage to bungle the details and fine print on things, entirely too often as well.

Yeah we got taken. I hate that we included Stan. Rob got robbed again.

God damnit, another unnecessary throw in solid role player, still only 26 years old, can defend positions 1-4 and even 5 competently on some switches. I strongly dislike Rob because he doesn’t value players we put time and effort into developing and hasn’t valued picks until this off-season, which is part of why we’re in this mess desperately clinging to our last one 7 years from now.

I don't see it as a big deal.

There's other things that bother me more than that; for instance letting Caruso go, the Westbrook deal, drafting Zo instead of Tatum (more on Magic but Rob still gets some blame), etc.

He just isn't a very good GM, folks.

This is the bottom line. He’s just not that good.

Problem is if he's fired I'm willing to bet Jeanie will replace him with Rambis.

Wasn't a deal breaker?! So we're just throwing in whatever DA asked for? Good thing he didn't ask for those future 1sts. Rob would have gift wrapped those too.

I’m guessing you’re using hyperbole to demonstrate your point and already know this (which is fine, you make valid points).

But just in case I feel obligated to provide a clarifying reminder that we literally only owe one more first round pick. We currently are slated to have a first round pick in every draft for the next decade other than 2024 OR 2025.

Just a pet peeve of mine because Laker haters often try to propagate the narrative that our draft cupboard is completely barren.

I think it’s hilarious how somehow Lebron is going to get blamed for Rob being mediocre as a GM.

That’s why this whole thing isn’t turning around with Jeanie running it. As outlined in detailed fashion before, several times here, her inability to put the right people in place will be her downfall.

You are living on a boat on the River Denial if you refuse to acknowledge the fact that LeGM ran to Rob and talked him into trading for Westbrick. This is documented. The rest is on Rob.

Honestly, convince me that he would do worse. I’m no Rambii supporter, but just about Everything Rob has done shortly after winning the Bubble Chip has blown up in his face.

It’s like replacing Dennis with Russ. Dennis wasn’t good but Russ is a disaster. Rambii would stink up the joint so bad, you’d never get rid of the smell.

I think we need to settle down a bit on calling Reaves some massive success. The kid had some good moments last season, but that’s a very small sample size, on one of the worst Laker teams of all time.

There is a lot to criticize Rob about, but what he did to retool and improve the team the off-season after our title was great work.

It didn’t work out, but that was mostly just because of injuries, and hindsight is 20/20. Keeping the main core in tact but adding Schröder, Harrell, Gasol, and Mathews were widely seen as excellent moves.

Putting together the championship team and then improving them the following season is already better work than Rambis has done in his entire post-playing career.

Zero points for Monk and Stan. You have to actually take into account how well the TEAM does as well. That squad was a straight up dumpster fire last year.
LTLakerfan gets a point for Caruso because he was actually around for more than ONE season and contributed to a SUCCESSFUL season of basketball.
