Thank the lord he signed that extension...ensures that we're not going back to basketball purgatory.

If you really think about it - the Lakers cannot afford to lose LeBron/AD for as long as New Orleans has our picks or pick swaps.

This was the best thing the Lakers could have hoped for. LeBron just showed that he wants to retire a Laker - so I hope Jeanie, Rob, Kurt and whoeever else is in that weak a** front office straps up their boots and improves this f***ing team so that we can make one last run during LeBron's last couple of years.

I really thought LeBron wasn't going to sign that extension unless Lakers made the Kyrie trade....glad to see he's not holding teams hostage anymore.

I think him signing for 2 years at the very least says we’ve got a viable plan mapped out for the future. We will see how well we execute.

i don't think lebron signing the extension means anything other than lebron wanting to stay in LA

doubt the roster will look any different on opening night than it does right now

woj prepping us for the THT/nunn for eric gordon deal...yuck.

to me, the extension means that lebron and the lakers FO have concluded that cap space won't be useful next year. so either kyrie's coming via trade or isn't coming period. that's why i think things might be on the horizon.

A THT, Nunn trade package, gets us into the range of a Myles Turner trade, maybe Jordan Clarkson and Jarred Vanderbilt, or Eric Gordon. Those are more inline with the " modest" roster change theory. I'd prefer Clarkson and Vanderbilt but I wouldn't say no to a Turner deal either.

I don’t think he was going to leave but I do think he would’ve waited to extend until he saw that we had a plan

I think he knew the plan or at the very least was aware of it.

Either way, that's done and out of the way.

    Let's get some shooting

There’s a lot of IFs in that argument. What remains a fact: Tatum and Brown are currently one of the best two way duos in the game today.

Well, we will have to agree to disagree on Simmons. I’ve never seen anything like that before- especially from an “All-Star.” He will probably be fine throughout the regular season when nothing’s on the line.

At least LeBron gets to add to his Mountain of Millions. It’s ALL about him.

never seen a guy have a bad series or never seen a guy have his organization blame a team failure on a single player? because i hadn't seen that until the simmons incident.

Never seen a guy literally afraid to shoot when he’s at the rim.
Nobody has ever seen someone as SOFT as SlimCharmin- not even the giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from “Ghostbusters.”
