Yeah you don’t do 2 frp for Hield/Turner. A first and a second is as far as you take it.

It’s a complete gamble but if we are gonna end up giving up both first round picks anyway, you might as well go in on Kyrie. At least the ceiling with Kyrie is a potential contender. We can’t necessarily say that for a Hield/Turner combo, like another poster said - the ceiling with just Hield/Turner is likely the 2nd round.

Giving up the two picks also means we don’t have any to attach to THT/Nunn, and we have a lot of question marks and redundancy if we do the trade. THT/Walker playing at the same time? Both inconsistent players who can’t shoot or defend too well. Nunn is still not recovered from the bone bruise. Keeping them after this trade with no way of converting them to a useful rotation player because of a lack of picks is problematic.

feel like rosales was reading my posts from earlier.

eff indy and eff the press for selling the idea that our assets our distressed and theirs aren't.

    bs.

hield's got negative value, and turner's a protected 1st and expiring or middling talent on decent contract. that's it.

teams are trying to work us.

    protected 1st.

turner is going to walk in FA. and if he gets injured once the season begins, you won't even get a 1st. there's a reason pritchard's been fired once already.

I like this, I’m just not sure it’s doable. Like the idea though

been wanting barnes for a while. sac may value him because they (foolishly) think they're a playoff team, though. THT's a bad fit there, too, so i could see why they might hesitate.

man, they've really cost themselves a lot investing in fox rather than...just not.

Teams are definitely trying to get as many assets from us as they can. We’ve just gotta stay firm with our position and hold out for the right package.

I never wanted Buddy anyway. Turner, yes, but no way for two firsts.

Meh..hold out for better than that deal. I'd try to peel Turner straight up, a protected 1st, THT and Nunn. Save that other 1st round pick for Kyrie and Curry.

Kyrie, Turner and Curry for Russ, THT, Nunn and two picks. That's outstanding, cap it off with Schroder for our last roster spot, and that's a 2-3 year title run caliber roster.

watch miami get turner for duncan robinson and a protected 1st and everyone praise riley's genius when it's really just eff the lakers.

this was my point that was ridiculed yesterday: bkn can't demand 1sts we don't have. move on without them and tell them we'll be glad to circle back with whatever's left.

The problem is we only have 2 first rounders to trade.

Sure, but as time goes on, more and more of those other picks will be freed up for trading once the swapping situations are figured out and Stepien rule restrictions go away.

If the concern is that we need those 27 and 29 picks in case they help facilitate a different trade in a few years… why? If we’re not going to sacrifice those picks in a trade to go all in during this crucial juncture in the Lebron window, what kind of circumstances are people expecting in 2-3 years that will make those picks so important to trade?

If the concern is that we might be pretty bad in 27 and 29 and should hold onto them in case they end up becoming top picks, well that’s a valid concern but the fact that we still have first rounders in all the other surrounding years means it wouldn’t be the most catastrophic thing in the world if we lost out on a lottery pick.

Also, when you know you don’t have a pick, it’s a bit easier to plan your roster to avoid that pick you’re giving up to be that valuable. Reading Pacers fans, this is why most of them are overwhelmingly against even the Hield/Turner for BOTH picks idea; they are confident that we’d be able to find a way to be decent those years such that the picks aren’t even that great.

I can’t decide who I dislike more- Dennis or Pat Bev. At this point in time, I think it’s Dennis.

Dennis is a lot cheaper. Unless Beverly gets bought out. He'll probably thrive in an uptempo offense. He made it known that he hated Vogel's offense .
