I agree with this, I quit watching games 3/4 of the way through last season, I just found better ways to use my time, couldn’t stomach watching Westbrook play. I didn’t miss it much, much less stress in my life. I still love basketball, but you find other ways to watch and enjoy, like right now I’m enjoying summer league and I really enjoy watching the Big 3 league, it’s super fun. If the Lakers can’t find a way to put a likable product on the floor, I can easily check out until they do again.

I didn't see what Lebron said yet, but apparently he's up to his old narcissistic self again. Just can't help himself eh?

I take it this is what is being referenced. It's only that big of a hit if it's a straight up 1 for 1, which I thought was ruled out awhile ago.

It's July...training camp starts in October. The media needs something to talk about, we do too I suppose. I like the moves that we've made so far and I expect the Irving trade to drop before camp. As long as James and Davis are fit and ready to go for a full season, this is going to be a great upcoming campaign IMO.

+ the obvious stacking of Harris' contract actually saves them 8.5mil or a lot more than that after lux tax depending on where BRK ends up financially after all this. That's a no-brainer.

Even if THT went out in a deal with them BRK could add a tiny contract and avoid increasing payroll

And this is basically everyone I know. If we start the season with Westbrook on the roster and no Hield/Turner equivalent, Rob Pelinka should not be able to show his face in public.

It's impossible to trade a 47 million dollar contract for a 36 million dollar one. Every NBA writer knows that. This type of stuff is poor bootleg journalism. If you trade Westbrook for Curry and Irving the salaries match. Guess what? If you don't the Nets have the exact same damn tax bill. This is tool level s*** right here.

I think Rob is doing everything he possibly can to make it look like our assets are under scrutiny by teams in possible deals to get BRK to blink first. Now we've got talk of Donovan Mitchell (which would be great if real)

If we don't get Kyrie, Westbrook most definitely will be here. That was the plan all along before this Kyrie thing popped up. Hield/Turner...maybe but I don't think we pivot in that direction unless Kyrie decides to stay in Brooklyn. The only leverage the Nets have is Lakers impatience. That's cool for the fans and all that, but Rob needs to play this thing correctly.

The longer Brooklyn holds onto Kyrie Irving, the less they will get in return for him in a trade. I still don't get this fascination with Buddy Hield, folks keep acting like that dude is in hot demand around the League. No he is not, Sacramento didn't want him, Indy doesn't want him, we shouldn't be tripping over ourselves to trade for him either. Turner I really like, but with Jones, Bryant and AD already playing the 5, I'm not sure he's a top priority for us at the moment. The prudent move is to wait Brooklyn out, I just don't see Irving going into to camp in October in Brooklyn.

Fun fact on Utah. Saw a clip on line yesterday that due to changing climate conditions and drought the Great Salt Lake, same as Lake Powell and Lake Mead is drying up and shrinking drastically. From a surface area of 3,000 square miles it’s down to 1,000 now with the rest of the perimeter now dry parched lake bed. And they get in the populated areas nearby (no idea where in proximity Utah’s arena sits) …. hellacious dust storms from the wind now. They’ve been analyzing what all’s in that dust and are finding high(?) or at least very troubling (I forget which) levels of arsenic. Somehow produced from the areas now dry. That’s not something you’d choose to live, work or play nearby.

Actually, according to Vash from LG, you can, and he's pretty knowledgeable.

Kyrie would just need to sign off on all but $700K of his trade kicker and it would also create a $9illion dollar TPE for the Lakers.

I heard they worked out a resolution for the situation, from now on it'll be called Arsenic Lake City.

Idk... both teams are over the tax payer level. The cap is 125% in salary matching for both teams..it works for us but not for Brooklyn. I could be reading this wrong tho

    https://cbabreakdown.com/salary-cap... would exceed,the traded player plus $100,000.

Great Salt Lake is more by the airport, the [Delta Center] is more in town by the LDS Salt Lake Temple and State Capital. They aren’t NEXT to each other, but they aren’t separated by like 100s of Miles either
