Pacers don’t want Russ, Nets don’t want Russ, Lakers don’t want Russ. The PG position has (and likely will) destroyed our future draft picks.

Only people who want Westbrook is to get rid of 3 year contracts that they want to drop. Who? Who knows.

Nets will save money by including Joe Harris in the Westbrook/Kyrie swap. So they'll end up saving 18 millions plus the lottery picks the Lakers will give up. Suspect the deal is going to be whether the Lakers give up 1 or 2 first rounders

Normally a 1 first rounder and dumping 18 million dollars doesn't seem like a lot of return for a clearly superior player but the Nets can't tank due to owing so many lottery picks to Houston. So Kyrie being a loose cannon really puts them in a bind and having Westbrook sell seats and have good nights against bad teams would be a positive for them in the short run!

Destroyed how? We have 9 out of our next 10 draft picks moving forward.

Starting in 2025 we have all of our picks going forward and we already have all of our 2nd rounders now and the 2023 1st rounder though the Pelicans can swap theirs for ours (highly unlikely). We are far from destitute, the AD trade was in 2019 and we have paid with a lot of picks since. We didn't give crap for Russ as far as picks, just a 22nd pick and we got 2 second-rounders back. If Rob can get us Kyrie with one 1st rounder, we'll take it and we'll be just fine in the future. Hell, we get all our traction in the 2nd round anyways.

So, essentially, the only pick we don't have is our 2024 1st. Unless the Pelicans post a better record than us this season and swap our first, in which case we still get theirs. That's all unlikely though.

Our lottery picks have not been exactly bangers except maybe for BI we missed on superstars. I say trade ‘em picks but with protection this time

I do it to get him as a cheap asset and trade him later in the year to Siberia for picks.

…so the wait continues. Nets are being annoying on both players. Again, they are getting fair trade offers. Make a deal and everyone move on.

You would think it is possible they can drag this out all the way until training camp, but when you see certain teams roster construction and cap space that may cause them to act sooner.

Basically I am just getting impatient.

Hmmm..Myles Turner on the way to Phoenix now? I guess we won't be hearing anymore Buddy Hield talk now.
