Iol...I'd take Dennis back for the minimum asap. Oh the irony in that one!

I have this gut feeling - like the Kawhi punking us again - though we won the chip and had the last laugh that year.

Don’t think Kyrie really wants to leave KD, or play with Bron. And KD doesn’t want a trade. Just trying to get Kyrie his bag and get Nash fired. They can trade Simmons for upgrades.

Just a gut. Hope I am wrong.

especially if Westbrook leaves, and one of THT/Nunn, he'd be a great secondary PG.

The other owners all get their panties in a bunch every single time we do anything good for us. They hated us when we got Wilt, hell they hated everything we did to build showtime. They hated the luck we had with getting the draft rights to Worthy, despite having won the championship the year before. This attitude towards us goes way back to our beginnings and has continued to morph into what it is today.

i don't follow this. i agree that bkn has basically no leverage. this is why you DON'T give up unprotected picks of any kind. if they had leverage, and you really want the guy, then you consider it.

kawhi and pg are 31 and 32, and i don't expect either to very good two years from now, tbh.

dame is 31 and seemed to fall off a cliff last year, with us yet to see if he climbs back up.

kd missed a ton of time as his team finished in the play-in.

AD and kyrie are already known for missing time and will be 5-7 years older (and older than everyone you listed) when you want to be conveying these unprotected picks.

i think if rob gives up unprotected picks in a deal for irving, he'll become a billy king-esque laughing stock. he knows this, which is why it hasn't happened. if we'd do it, the deal would already be done and bkn would be laughing all the way to the bank.

    just not bothered at all.

explore the THT/nunn trade market and go to battle. let bkn deal with their own mess.

if it's just hield, that would be awful. i'd rather just stand pat.

I’m just going to say that if we use those draft picks for Hield then I’m taking a nice long indefinite break from the team.

I think this will be painted as a Rob failure by the media no matter what.

    What draft picks?

Bro, if he's not giving up the farm for Kyrie, he sure as heck isn't doing it for Hield; at least that's my hope.

We need a shooter or two. There's no way we can go into September with the redundancy this roster has as presently constructed.

FYI:. We have heard from 4 legitimate reporters and they are all reporting different things; Woj and Shams said "there's no traction" Haynes is reporting the two teams are "actively engaged" and are "optimistic" a deal will get done this off-season. Stein has also said he thinks Kyrie will come here.

I'm not crying if Irving comes or not. Don't matter. If James isn't happy, I don't care. Go start addressing the weakness on this roster by making calls and trades, Rob.

my view is we either do the Kyrie trade, or might as well just blow the roster and hit the reset button.

no way this team as currently constructed is contending, even if everyone stays healthy. No Hield trade is going to move the needle either.
