If Kobe had AD and they both were injured, the team wouldn't win jack. Kyrie can come in here and be spectacular, if James and Davis play in 30 games or less again, that won't mean a damn thing either. This is a critical year for those two as a duo. Jeanie has given them whatever they asked for, they have to hold up their end of the bargain. I'll never minimize a championship trophy, however being ok with not being in contention, does have a time limit attached. The moves we've made since Lebron signed, are evaluated by the results produced. We have a Chip and two injured ruined seasons, I can't fully judge a season in which my two best players only played in 27 and 21 games. I will say that if that turned into 3 straight seasons, we need to go in a different direction. If these two play a full season and we got beat, I could live with that. We would be able to a**** what we need to do to address that. Not playing at all tho...3 seasons is enough.

Sigh. AD and Lebron missed more time than they did last year in 2021 and the Lakers won 9 more games. How many times do I have to write this for you to understand that Russell Westbrook f***ed up the entire team in 2022 to the point where the Lakers had its worst season ever?

Lakers sucked last year because of Russell Wesrbrook. You can yell on top of a mountain or go yogging(I think it's a silent J) and yell it, you are wrong and the visuals and the results say so. This is not an opinion. It's facts!!!!!

The record is still stuck on repeat. How many times do we have to read this?
We get it, injuries happen. However, those injuries don’t cancel out the worst trade in Laker history, nor the rest of the terrible signings. Those other things still happened.
    Happy 4th of July!

Because you keep throwing out a disingenuous take that is just a bs today, as it was when you first posted it.

Lebron and AD played in 27 of 72 games in 21. They played in 21 of 82 in 22. I don't know what kind of r******* math this is that you keep using, in order to say those two are the same thing. Again..Lebron played in the first 42 games and played 23 out of 28 to start the season with AD. THAT is your 9 game margin, it's why the 21 team finished a little better. They sucked just as bad after game 28, once AD went down, even with Lebron.

The 22 team didn't even have Nunn all season. James and Davis played together in a grand total of 5 straight games all last season. The idea that it was all Westbrook is some nonsense. FACT...The Lakers have been mediocre to sucking anytime Lebron and AD haven't played together period. We sucked with Lebron and the young core. A large chunk of that team made up the chip team btw. We sucked in the 21 season when that happened. We sucked last season and they couldn't even go more than 5 games straight! How in the hell is that shocking? We will suck with Kyrie if that gets repeated. You keep beating your Westbrook drum, I'll keep beating my Lebron/AD one.

Either way, we need more shooting.

Rob needs to find a way to make that happen.

If the Lakers didn't have Russ, and instead had Caruso and KCP, they make the playoffs. Bottom line, it was a bad fit. Can't do it again. Steely Dan warned us.

They had Caruso and Kcp in 21 and we needed a late Lebron/AD push just to get to the playin game. Those guys get overrated a lot around here. We had them in Lebron's first season in LA..That team sucked too.

So, kind of taking a little dive into Joe Harris, he had his second operation on the ankle back in March.

Don't mind the player, but we need to make sure the medicals check out if he's included in any potential Irving deal.

But, the team dynamic changes without Westbrook taking over and bricking shots. All I said was make the playoffs, didn't say win title.

Just keep him away from whoever looked at Nunn.

Granted we need Harris to be able to move/slide defensively. But at least his skill isn't relying on supreme athleticism and hops.

If Kendrick Nunn gets traded, it would had been a nice career with the Lakers

    Harris is still better
I keep the most important factor front and center all the time. The only success we achieved as a team is when Lebron and AD played a full season period. Caruso and KCP had the benefit of that once. They had a brief period of 23 games with it in 21. Ergo success..it wasn't THEM. They were both here before we traded for AD, Rondo, Javale, and Kuz too. That team sucked. If Westbrook had the same benefit, then you could actually judge it. Other than that, it is speculation about something that didn't happen, based off of something that did..Illogical. It's absolutely not FACTS of any kind.

Kudos to Rob and Klutch..we would have flipped an asset that never suited up, for an upgrade. Damn good deal for 5 million dollars.

Well we DON’T know actually where that first year would have wound up with enough health. Certainly they make the playoffs and “maybe” do some damage there with a 3 years younger and motivated LeBron. That was a better squad than we had this year, save for no AD. You can’t just say they sucked. Young and talented players we had and him, had he not injured his groin about the time when whatever level of jelling would have happened. And then the team esprit de corps just blown all to hell with all of them, while he’s not available and learning they’re ALL trade bait for the very public & aborted attempt to get Anthony Davis traded to the Lakers, that same season, debacle.
